Liverpool are currently looking to sign a striker and it will not come as any surprise if Mario Balotelli and Christian Benteke leave the Reds in the summer transfer window.
If reports are anything to go by then a certain German international is in the lime light in the form of Hoffenheim star Kevin Volland.
Jurgen Kloop is very keen about signing the 23-year-old star and the former Borussia Dortmund boss has already inquired Roberto Firmino about his former team mate as he looks to strengthen Liverpool attack (RNZ).
According to latest reports (Daily Star via Bild), Liverpool are clear to sign the versatile forward and can finally seal his signing by paying the release clause of $20 million in his contract.
Volland is naturally a center forward but can play anywhere in the attack. He has directly contributed in no fewer than 18 goals (8 goals and 10 assists) in 32 league games for the German side.

Let’s be honest, don’t know much about Volland but his stats aren’t brilliant. Mind you, seems he had a superb partnership with Firmino in Germany so that might be a bonus. Definitely need somebody up front who can both score and make goals for other players. Not a fortune so why not give it a go?
Kevin would be a very good acquisition for us though his stats hasn’t been too impressive but to me it’s a good return, contributing to 18 goals in 32 appearances. knows how to finish and very versatile in attack,silky and quick…his presence would surely bring out the cutting edge in our attack come next season….so to me its a yes.

let klopp acquire volland he is good plus his age and partneshipo to Firmino fore sure he will shine with our club, as l see his playing style there shall be a deep and effective foward next season since they ( Volland, Origi and Firmino) make what we call threat front line.
