Man United Very Keen on Signing £46m Midfield Star

Kevin StrootmanManchester United manager is still in search of top quality stars despite signing many in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have amplified the quality of their attack to a large extent but midfield and defense still have some concerns.
Louis van Gaal has always been a huge admirer of Kevin Strootman and since joining the club, the Dutch star has been his priority midfielder signing.
However, because of Kevin’s long term injury, Van Gaal had to ditch his plans of signing him in the summer and now waits for the winter transfer window to secure him.
The former PSV star was a key member for Roma last season but suffered a major injury in March and since then has not played.
Serie A side are well aware of his importance and will never sell him to United for cheap.
According to reports, Manchester United are very keen on signing Kevin Strootman but Roma have made things even harder for them by slapping a £46m on him.
As per the provided link, United probably thought that a figure of £25 million will be enough to hire the services of the versatile midfielder but that might not be the case.
Van Gaal has to add another top midfielder to the squad in the winter as for now they lack depth in the department.
Also, another top central defender is required and someone like Hummels can give them major boost.

I am very much aware that Manchester United need a seasoned powerful midfielder; but if clubs are to treat Manchester United as a milk cow, let them look somewhere.

If things are seemingly impossible to sign strootman from AS Roma to strengthen United’s midfield crisis, then convert Wayne Rooney (the bulldozer) to a permanent midfilder. He can perform well beyond the humanly expectations of a midfielder.

Rooney playing as a striker is the best for man united as it enhance greater ball possession in the opponent’s half(final third) but I’m just hoping Daley Blind will fill that central defensive midfielder’s role.
