Andre Villas Boas Must not Blame Bale for Anything

Andre Villas Boas Must not Blame Bale for AnythingEvery player has a dream of playing at the highest level, and almost every other player wants to play for a club like Real Madrid.
Tottenham’s star player Gareth Bale did exactly what Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United did in 2009 and departed England to sign for Los Blancos.
However, Alex Ferguson never blamed Cristiano Ronaldo for anything. Even though, Ronaldo was playing at the highest level and United were easily better than Madrid, he wanted to fulfill his dream move.
He could have gone in 2008 after winning the league and Champions League but stayed for another year.
Goes without saying that a player of Gareth Bale’s quality and class deserves to play in Europe’s elite competition. He could have left 2 years back as well when Spurs failed to qualify for CL but stayed and gave his all last year.
Sadly, Spurs fell short again. Even if they had qualified for CL, it would have been hard for Bale to say no to a club like Real Madrid.
Tottenham had the best transfer season in their history; their fans have never seen so many world class arrivals in one window. Now their squad is not just capable of qualifying for CL but can compete for the premier league title. A lot of that is down to the sale of Gareth Bale.
AVB should not have publicly blamed Gareth Bale for pressurizing. Also he claimed that Bale would not have been sufficiently committed if he had stayed. Remember, Modric stayed against his will too but performed brilliantly for them in his last season.
After all the years, such comments and the bitter ending was never necessary. Tottenham supporters may have other ideas.
