Manchester United are still seeking the form everyone expected from them when the season started. With a number of bad performances, Jose Mourinho’s position as a manager seems more and more unstable. Newcastle have a great opportunity to reap some dividends from the match, especially if we consider the fact they are still in the relegation zone with just 2 points from 7 games.
This match can be decisive for both managers as an eventual win for any of the sides may lead to manager rotations.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United News

After the draw with Valencia in the UCL, Manchester United feel more pressure than ever under Mourinho’s reign and only a number of wins can help them. After next week’s international break, the Red Devils will face Chelsea in EPL and Juventus in UCL, with just 3 days between the games which makes the match with Newcastle a must-win one.
On the other hand, Newcastle have a great opportunity to slowly get into the season. After the disappointing transfer window, the team struggles to score and the pressure on Rafael Benitez grows.
Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero are to miss the match for the Red Devils.
Florian Lejeune and Solomon Rondon will not be available to Rafa Benitez.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United Head to Head

The last 5 matches between the two ended with 2 wins for Manchester United, 2 draws and a 1-0 win for Newcastle in the last game.
Manchester United could not keep a clean sheet against Newcastle in 3 successive games.
Both teams come into the match after terrible streaks as the Red Devils had no win in 4 games while the Magpies recorded a 12-game streak without a win.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United Betting Tips

Manchester United have not lost at half time in 18 successive home matches in all competitions.
Newcastle managed to keep the draw at half time in their last 4 matches.
Manchester United have scored 3+ goals in 6 out of their last 10 matches against Newcastle.

Manchester United vs. Newcastle United Prediction

Although Manchester United are clear favourites (priced at 1.45 @bet365) and have a home advantage, there are some better bets to be made as United does not look as solid as they should.
Opting for a draw at half time is priced at 2.30 and looks like a reasonable risk. What might catch your eye is the decent 3.00 price for 0-0 at half time.
Manchester United vs. Newcastle United X at HT 2.30 @bet365
Manchester United vs. Newcastle United 0-0 at HT 3.00 @bet365

Crystal Palace and Newcastle seem to struggle with the start of the season. Crystal Palace are 12th with just 2 points from 5 matches while Newcastle are in the relegation zone with a single point out of 15 possible. Despite it is still early season, the game might be decisive for the relegation battle in May and will be taken rather seriously by both teams.

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United Odds

Both teams scored 4 goals in the opening 5 games but Newcastle conceded 8, while Palace just 6.
Crystal Palace come as the bookmakers’ favourite but Newcastle should not be underestimated at all. Both teams to score seems like a very reasonable bet.
Both teams to score – 1.95

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United Head to Head

Both teams scored in 5 of the last 7 games and Newcastle, who were guests in the match, scored first in 5 successive clashes.
Crystal Palace won just one of the past 13 games between the teams.
Newcastle have lost 8 of their last 10 PL games.

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United News

A game in which anything can happen but both teams will try to win. However, the hosts experience some problems with missing players.
Christian Benteke will miss the match while James Tomkins and Wilfred Zaha are not likely to play.
Newcastle will have no major players missing the match.

Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United Predictions

The last three matches between the two clubs resulted in two minimal wins for Newcastle 1-0 as hosts in 2016 and 2017, and a 1-1 draw in 2018 in London.
Both teams have scored less than a goal per match since the beginning of the season and this is not likely to change. However, the expectations that both will go for the three points make that 1-1 exact score very likely.
Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United under 2.5 goals – 1.70
Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle United 1-1 correct score – 7.00

The Blues are currently two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool in the table with an inferior goal difference and their chances of claiming a Champions League spot are dependent on Brighton beating Liverpool while they secure a long-awaited away triumph over Newcastle United.

Formation: 3-4-3
Lineup:
Belgium international Thibaut Courtois was a surprise absentee for the midweek draw against Huddersfield Town with a back problem. The shot-stopper has, however, recovered from his minor niggle and should start in goal against Rafael Benitez’s side.
In central defence, manager Antonio Conte could be tempted into a single change with skipper Gary Cahill coming in for Andreas Christensen. As such, the experienced Englishman should accompany Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger in a three-man backline.
Davide Zappacosta earned a rare league start ahead of Victor Moses at right wing-back on Wednesday night but the latter should reclaim his spot for the weekend game. Likewise, Marcos Alonso should feature in the left wing-back position after netting a rather fortuitous goal which enabled his team to secure a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield.
Onto the midfield, N’Golo Kante has remained an undisputed starter in the centre of the park and he was most recently crowned as the Blues’ Player of the Year. The Frenchman may start alongside compatriot Tiemoue Bakayoko, who could offer more in a physical sense against Jonjo Shelvey in the opposition.
Moving ahead, Eden Hazard should reclaim a starting spot on the left wing after Pedro failed to impress in a rare start in midweek. Alongside him, Willian should slot into the right side of the attack with Olivier Giroud leading the line.
Alvaro Morata was offered with some much-needed gametime during the midweek game against the Terriers but his effectiveness could witness Giroud reclaim his starting role. The Frenchman most recently netted the winner in a 1-0 triumph over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Prediction:
Chelsea have not won a single league game at St James Park since December 2011 and during this period, they have succumbed to three defeats with the other game ending in a draw. Regardless of this, they should have enough quality to secure a victory which could prove crucial to their top four finish.
Newcastle United 0-2 Chelsea

Liverpool will seek to extend a three-match winning streak across all competitions when they host Newcastle United at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The fixture marks the return of Rafael Benitez to Merseyside and the 57-year-old will be hoping to extend the Magpies’ two-match unbeaten run versus the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a minor stutter during the month of January as they succumbed to back-to-back defeats against Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League and FA Cup respectively, but they have since sorted themselves to make valuable progress.
The Reds have taken a big step towards the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a thumping 5-0 away win over Porto in the round of 16, first-leg, whilst they have also built up a four-match unbeaten run in the top-flight, which has seen them jump to third on the table with 57 points.
On the contrary, Newcastle have secured a similar four-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League. Their run of results includes a rather shocking 1-0 win over Manchester United at home, and this sees them with a slender two-point advantage over clubs in the relegation places.
Players to watch for:
Mohamed Salah – Liverpool: The Egypt international has had a stellar of a debut season with the Reds, contributing 30 goals in all competitions (whoscored). Out of this, 23 of them have come in the Premier League campaign, where he has barely put a foot wrong this term. Aside from his goals, Salah is also excellent with his link-up play with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, and it has become difficult to predict when he will fail to score. Salah has netted at least one goal in his last six appearances in all competitions (ESPN).
Dwight Gayle – Newcastle United: Gayle has not quite matched his achievements from the Championship-winning campaign, but he is nevertheless the Magpies best threat in the attack front. With Islam Slimani yet to make his debut, Benitez would no doubt go with Gayle upfront, and the 27-year-old has proven a success especially against the elite sides with goals against Chelsea and Manchester United this term. Gayle has netted four times in six meetings against Liverpool, and this includes a late brace for Crystal Palace in a dramatic 3-3 draw, which ended the Reds’ title hopes during the 2013/14 season.
Prediction:
Newcastle usually adopt an ultra-defensive tactic on the road. They may manage to contain Liverpool for the initial stages, but not for the entire 90 minutes with Salah around.
Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle United

They were fourth not so long ago, but now find themselves in seventh place.
The North Londoners will collide against Newcastle United next and will hope to get back to winning ways.
As far as the Wenger’s team news is concerned, Aaron Ramsey has a hamstring concern and Shkodran Mustafi has a thigh muscle strain (PhysioRoom), so we can expect the duo to be out of the team vs the Magpies.
In the absence of Mustafi, Monreal should partner Koscielny in the central defense. Kolasinac should return to start in the left back position.
As far as the midfield is concerned, Mohamed Elneny should get the nod to to replace Wilshere in the center of the park.
The likes of Iwobi, Alexis, and Ozil will probably retain their starting places. Lacazette should replace compatriot Giroud in the center forward position. Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Newcastle.
Next up, the Blues will collide against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte’s team are now fewer than 11 points behind league leaders Manchester City and the reigning PL champions cannot afford to drop more points if they are to have any chance of retaining the title.
Chelsea do not have any suspensions concerns and as far as the injuries are concerned, Batshuayi is still out.
Conte opted to bench Hazard and Azpilicueta for the midweek contest and we can expect the quality duo to return to the starting XI tomorrow.
Brazilian international Willian has been impressive lately and he should get the nod to start with Hazard and Morata in the attack vs the Magpies.
Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso should start in the wing-back positions and the likes of Fabregas and Kante should start in the central midfield.
Here is Chelsea’s strongest possible 3-4-3 XI vs Newcastle United.
Next up, they will collide against Newcastle United on Saturday and will hope to get back to winning ways.
Magpies’ boss Rafael Benitez has faced Jose Mourinho in some crucial fixtures when the Spaniard was in charge of Liverpool and the Portuguese managed Chelsea. Who will come out on top this time?
As far as Man United’s team news is concerned, record signing Paul Pogba still has not recovered from his hamstring concern and in his absence, we can expect Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic to start in the central midfield for Mourinho.
Also Read: Mourinho Can Get Manchester United Signing Done for €95million
Star defender Phil Jones is injured as well and in such a scenario, Bailly and Smalling could start in the central defense. The likes of Young and Valencia should start in the wing-back positions.
As far as the attack is concerned, Mkhitaryan has been out of form lately and the Armenian should bounce back against Newcastle. He should partner Lingard and Rashford behind Lukaku.
Here is Manchester United’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Newcastle.
The Red Devils have badly missed their record signing Paul Pogba, who suffered an injury in September and was not part of the team in the last 12 fixtures.
The French international started the season in brilliant fashion and in his absence, Herrera has not been able to step up.
Also Read: 4-3-1-2: How Manchester United Should Line up with Ibra, Rojo & Pogba
Man Utd supporters have been desperately waiting for Pogba to return and the wait is finally over as reports suggest that the 24-year-old midfielder has returned to training (ESPN).
As per the provided ESPN link, Pogba trained with the Manchester United’s reserve and could return to Mourinho’s squad when the Premier League returns after the international break. United will face Newcastle United on 18th November.
In four Premier League outings so far this season, the former Juventus star has directly contributed in as many goals (2 goals and 2 assists). United fans will hope that his return will revitalize the side, who have been in poor form lately.

Liverpool have been leaking goals constantly in the Premier League this season even after reinforcing the defense in the summer transfer window.
The Reds have already conceded 20 goals in 15 league fixtures and Jurgen Klopp must further strengthen his defense in the winter window to sort the back line.
The Merseysiders are linked with numerous quality defenders and Southampton star Virgil van Dijk is a transfer target.
Now, according to the latest reports provided by The Shields Gazette, a new name is in the limelight in the form of Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles.
The 23-year-old England international has been one of the best players for the Magpies this season under the management of Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.
The former Nottingham Forest center half has featured in 19 league games and scored one goal as Newcastle sit on top of the table.
As per the provided Shields Gazette link, Liverpool have been monitoring the 6 ft 2 defender recently and could make a big money move in January to secure his signature. Back in 2014, even Manchester United were linked with Lascelles as well.
Liverpool and Tottenham signed key Newcastle stars like Wijnaldum and Sissoko respectively in the summer transfer window. Therefore, it will not come as any surprise if the Magpies try to block any moves for their prized asset in mid-season as they push for PL promotion.
