Fulham faces Arsenal in the Premier League’s 8th round in a tie which is quite important for both sides. While Fulham struggle this season and will probably fight for their place in the top flight, Arsenal won their last 7 matches in all competitions and are willing to keep their streak in a battle for a Champions League place next season.

Fulham F.C. vs. Arsenal F.C. News

On Thursday, Arsenal travel to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag in a group-stage match for the Europa League, which will surely affect the fitness of some players. However, it is expected that many substitutes will be given a chance to impress and key players will be rested for Sunday’s match.
Alfie Mawson and Neeskens Kebano will miss the match for Fulham while Tom Cairney’s participation is still uncertain.
Arsenal will be without Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Laurent Koscielny.

Fulham F.C. vs. Arsenal F.C. Head to Head

Last time Fulham faced Arsenal was over 4 years ago and they lost both matches during the 13/14 season.
Arsenal are clear favorites but Fulham will do their best, despite their inability to keep a clean sheet in 10 successive games against Arsenal and losing their last 3 matches.
Both teams scored in 6 out of 8 matches and Fulham will be hosts which surely gives them hope they can at least get a point.

Fulham F.C. vs. Arsenal F.C. Betting Tips

Fulham lost just 2 of their last 21 home games in all competitions.
Fulham won just 1 of their 7 Premier League matches this season.
Arsenal lost just 3 of their last 26 matches against Fulham.
Arsenal drew at half time in their last 6 Premier League games.

Fulham F.C. vs. Arsenal F.C. Prediction

Arsenal are the clear favorites and are priced at 1.57 @bet365, which is a value bet having in mind Arsenal usually wins 70% of their games at these odds. Some riskier bets can be placed on a combination of draw at half time and Arsenal win.
Fulham – Arsenal win for Arsenal 1.57 @bet365
Fulham – Arsenal draw at HT and Arsenal win 4.75 @bet365

Both teams started the season with great expectations but failed to impress. After starting with two back-to-back loses, Arsenal showed character and claimed three victories in a row. Everton, on the other hand, got just 6 points in 5 matches and lost last round to West Ham.

Arsenal vs Everton Odds

Arsenal comes as a bookmakers’ favourite with 1.44 to win, while Arsenal to win -1, -1.5 is set at 1.990.
Arsenal win – 1.44
Arsenal -1,-1.5 win – 1.990

Arsenal vs Everton Head to Head

Gunners won 7 of the last 10 matches vs Everton (D1, L2) and both times Everton claimed the points at Goodison Park. In fact, Everton haven’t won in London since 1996.
Last season matches between the two squads were total disaster for Everton conceding 5 goals in each game and managed to score just 3 in total.
While Everton have won 4 of the past 27 away matches in all competitions, Arsenal lost just 5 times in the past 33 home matches in all competitions.

Arsenal vs Everton News

What might be of benefit for Everton is the Thursday’s match between Arsenal and Vorskla in Europa League. However, the expectations are that Arsenal will give a chance to more non-regulars and claim an easy 3 points so this match should not affect their performance on Sunday.
Laurent Koscielny is still with injury, while Alex Iwobi and Lucas Torreira will be the big missing for Arsenal.
Everton, on the other side, have a way bigger list with missing players, including the defenders Michael Keane and Phil Jagielka, and the suspended record signing Richarlison who scored 3 of the Everton’s 8 goals this season.

Arsenal vs Everton Predictions

Arsenal is an absolute favourite and the odds for win are not that great. However, playing Arsenal to win and over goals in match is viable as the last three matches ended 3-1, 5-2, 5-1, and Arsenal won all of them.
Arsenal have conceded in the last 4 matches with Everton, while the The Toffees have conceded 9 matches in a row with Arsenal. Both teams to score does not sound that bad, does it?
Arsenal and over 3.5 goals in match – 2.87
Both teams to score – 1.61

Arsenal have confirmed the loan departure of Reiss Nelson to Hoffenheim shortly after the teenager extended his contract with the club. The 18-year-old had just 11 months remaining on his previous deal with the Gunners but he has now put pen-to-paper on an extension which should keep him at the Emirates Stadium until June 2023.
Nelson made his breakthrough during the 2017/18 season whereby former boss Arsene Wenger initially offered him opportunities in the Cup and European games. Thereafter, he was offered a few league matches towards the end of the season and he ended the campaign with 16 appearances across all competitions.
During the recent pre-season, Nelson was a regular fixture under manager Unai Emery but he has now been offered a temporary challenge with Hoffenheim after knowing that he may not feature extensively during the ongoing league campaign. Despite this, he has secured his long-term future with the north London club after penning a fresh extension before his Bundesliga move.
Hoffenheim have transformed into one of Germany’s regulars in the top four and Nelson’s move to the Rhein-Neckar-Arena is certain to help him earn the much-needed gametime to enhance his progress. Moreover, the youngster also has the opportunity to ply his trade in the Champions League which the Gunners can’t offer and strong performances in the competition would certainly encourage Emery to consider him regularly next term.
Aside from Nelson, the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock have earned opportunities to impress in the Gunners first-team over the past season but they have been allowed to continue their progress with the Under-23 side with possible cameos coming their way in the League Cup this term.
Arsenal have made a below-par start to the Premier League season with just one win from their opening three matches and they are already six points adrift of the pace-setters at the top. They are scheduled to face newcomers Cardiff City in this weekend’s league meeting on the road.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has reportedly been linked with a surprise move away from the Emirates Stadium this month. The France international has made three substitute appearances under Unai Emery since the start of the season and reports now suggest that he could seek a surprise exit before the transfer window closes across Europe.
According to Le10Sport, the 26-year-old is deemed to be considering his Gunners future after failing to start a single game since the start of the campaign. It is added that the marksman is attracting plenty of interest from top European sides but the north Londoners remain reluctant to consider his position until January at the least.
Lacazette has become a regular from the substitutes’ bench since the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last winter but it would still come as a surprise, if he is to pursue a fresh challenge away from the Capital outfit.
Most recently, the Frenchman dismissed the suggestions that he is unhappy after talking up the prospect of securing a regular role under Emery and he could do the same before the international break.
Lacazette has looked lively on the playing field whenever he has come off the bench and last weekend’s game against West Ham United was a particular highlight after he was influential towards the Gunners’ second strike in a 3-1 comeback win.
Gunners boss Emery has been ringing in the changes in every game this term with under-performers being dropped to the bench and Lacazette could be one of those getting a run in the starting lineup at Cardiff City this weekend in Alex Iwobi’s expense.
Mesut Ozil is another who is in contention for a starting role after recovering from an illness but a report from The Telegraph has recently suggested that he may not retain a regular position unless he brings a consistency into his game.

The Wales international has been in a contract standoff with the Gunners over the past year and the saga now appears likely to head into 2019.
According to The Mail, the 27-year-old is not in a rush to resolve his future with the Gunners and he could take the example of Mesut Ozil by delaying negotiations until January.
Ozil was rewarded with a bumper £300,000-a-week contract in January 2018 after stalling on a new deal for the best part of a year and Ramsey is supposedly planning a similar approach to find a breakthrough with the Gunners.
Nonetheless, Ramsey has already been told that he would not receive wages anywhere close to that of Ozil and the Welshman is now said to be eyeing at least double of his current salary of (Express) £110,000-a-week.
Arsenal have found themselves in difficult situations with regards to player contracts in recent years and the last 12 months has witnessed the exits of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere as a result of the same.
Despite this, the north London side have refused to be held to ransom and Ramsey could be heading through the exit door in January, should a contract renewal not be processed before the closure of the winter transfer window.
Ramsey has started in two of the Gunners’ three games during the ongoing Premier League campaign but he has yet to contribute in the form of a goal or an assist for Unai Emery’s side.
Regardless of this, Emery has previously highlighted that he remains an important member and the Welshman should be guaranteed of regular gametime until January despite his contract situation.
With just 11 months left on his contract, Ramsey would potentially be free to discuss a pre-contract with overseas clubs when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the calendar year.

Napoli have reportedly acquired the services of goalkeeper David Ospina from Arsenal on a temporary basis. The Colombian had become the Gunners’ third-choice goalkeeper following the arrival of Bernd Leno this summer and this has eventually urged him to secure a fresh challenge elsewhere.
According to The Guardian, the Naples outfit have signed the £40,000-a-week shot-stopper on a season-long loan with the obligation to buy at the end of the forthcoming campaign. The Colombian is expected to fulfil the void left by Pepe Reina’s departure to AC Milan and this should assure him of the regular gametime, he has been craving for in recent seasons.
Earlier this summer, the Naples outfit had recruited goalkeepers Alex Meret and Orestis Karnezis on temporary deals from Udinese and the former was widely expected by many to take up the first-choice goalkeeping duties for the 2018/19 season. However, his ambition was shortlived after he broke his arm in just the second day of pre-season and this may have proved the key cause behind Napoli’s decision to land Ospina.
Meanwhile, at Arsenal, Petr Cech has claimed the number one role under Unai Emery despite widespread suggestions that Leno could start between the sticks. The German had shared the goalkeeping duties with Cech during the course of pre-season but Emery is seemingly prepared to wait longer before introducing the 26-year-old to the rigours of the Premier League.
Arsenal begun their campaign with a rather disappointing 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City but they should be aiming to bounce back when they take on Chelsea on the road this weekend. The Capital outfit have competed effectively against the Blues since May 2017 with not a single competitive defeat and this should give them the motivation for Sunday’s London derby.

The Egyptian footballer only penned a long-term deal with the Gunners in March but his future has become uncertain with Lucas Torreira and Mateo Guendouzi being recruited under the guidance of Unai Emery.
According to The Mirror, the 26-year-old could make way from the Gunners before the end of the month with Marseille keen on acquiring his signature. The Premier League transfer window may have closed on Friday but clubs across most European nations have the benefit of recruiting players until the August 31 deadline.
Looking from a hindsight, Elneny may be regarded as the fifth-choice central midfielder behind Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Mateo Kovacic and this may restrict him to gametime in the Cup competitions, where Emery may consider rotating his first-team squad.
With this in mind, the Egyptian could be benefited by a fresh challenge with Marseille, who could assure him of regular playing time following the departure of Andre Zambo Anguissa to Fulham last week. Nonetheless, the deal does not remain straightforward with the Gunners expectant to play hardball over the transfer value.
The north London outfit signed Elneny from Basel in the winter of 2016 for an initial fee of around £10m and they are bound to expect something close to the figure as a minimum, given the midfielder only recently penned a fresh four-year contract worth £55,000-a-week with the club.
Apart from Elneny, the Gunners are also considering potential exits for David Ospina, Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkinson before the end of the month. Unlike the Egyptian, the Gunners may not be able to hold for a standout price for the trio but their departures would help to free up wages which could be utilised to commit other players including Aaron Ramsey to long-term contracts.

The Colombia international has served as the deputy goalkeeper to Petr Cech over the past three seasons but his position has changed with the summer arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Sky Sports News, the former Turkish champions are deemed favourites to sign the Colombian, who has literally become the third-choice shot-stopper at the Emirates Stadium.
Ospina was initially linked with an Emirates exit during the summer of 2017 but back then, he was convinced to stay by ex-boss Arsene Wenger with the promise that he would remain the regular for the Cup and European competitions.
However, with a new head coach in Unai Emery at the helm, he has dropped down the pecking order and he has now been offered the option to leave the English capital before the transfer window closes across Europe.
At present, Besiktas are said to be in no hurry to pursue the former Nice man but Sky Sports reports that they may meet a potential stumbling block in signing the experienced shot-stopper.
As per the report, the north London giants are only understood to prefer a permanent sale for the Colombia and this could potentially hamper Besiktas’ prospects of signing the 29-year-old.
In the past, the Gunners have been content to offload players with the obligation to buy at the end of the campaign and the same condition does not seem to lie with Ospina with Emery urged to reduce the wage bill at the club.
Arsenal’s wage bill has exceeded £200m for the first time in their history after a record deal for Mesut Ozil alongside several big-money arrivals and Emery has been tasked with the job of retrieving some finances by sanctioning deals for fringe players.
Ospina presently has two years remaining on his relatively median salary of around £40,000-a-week and he could be among many other players including Carl Jenkinson and Joel Campbell making way before the conclusion of the month.

West Ham United have landed their eighth recruit of the ongoing transfer window with Lucas Perez signing for them from Arsenal. The Spaniard barely featured for the Gunners in the Premier League with just two starts to his name, and he has now been offered a fresh opportunity in the English top-flight.
Back in the summer of 2016, Perez made the switch to north London from Deportivo La Coruna after the Gunners decided to trigger the release clause written into his contract. Shortly after, the British press termed him as the ‘Spanish Vardy’ after their failure to sign the original one from Leicester City but things thereafter did not go as planned for the forward.
Barring a couple of Premier League starts, Perez’s opportunities under ex-boss Arsene Wenger were restricted to the Cup and European competitions with his most notable feat being a Champions League hat-trick versus Basel, which should remain one of the highlights of his career.
The season afterwards, Perez was loaned back to Deportivo after he expressed his ambition to win a national team cap, but the move rather turned into a nightmare after the supporters called him a mercenary and criticised him for the club’s relegation from the Spanish top-flight.
With the new season beckoning, it had initially looked like Unai Emery could offer a second chance to Perez with the Gunners but after a couple of pre-season games, the Spaniard was nowhere to be seen, thus giving a clear indication that he was deemed surplus to requirements.
Perez has become the Hammers eighth signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Fabian Balbuena and Felipe Anderson. West Ham have now spent nearly £100m under the guidance of new head coach Manuel Pellegrini.

FA Cup holders Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the proceedings of midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who has been reluctant to extend his Arsenal deal. The Wales international has been with the Gunners for the past ten seasons but his future remains uncertain beyond the summer with his contract expiring in under 12 months’ time.
According to The Mail, the Blues are keeping a close eye on Ramsey’s contract situation and they could seek to pounce on his signature before the transfer deadline. Nonetheless, the midfielder won’t come on the cheap with the Gunners expected to demand at least £30m for his probable sale in the transfer window.
Ramsey has received a mixed opinion from the Gunners’ faithful over the past decade but there is not denying that he has been hugely involved in the club’s recent success. The Welshman bagged the match-winning in the 2014 FA Cup final which ended the Gunners’ nine-year trophy drought and he has since been able to replicate the showing in the 2017 edition where he headed in the winner against the Blues.
As a result, the midfielder has the characteristics of a box-to-box midfielder, who could evolve under the guidance of head coach Unai Emery and the next 10 days should give an indication whether the Welshman will commit his long-term future to the north London giants.
As things stand, Ramsey has yet to receive an extension on his current £110,000-a-week contract which is scheduled to expire in June 2019. There has not been any indication regarding his wage demands but he may be holding for a sizeable increase on his wages to put him on par with winter signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Ramsey joined the Gunners from Cardiff City during the summer of 2008 and he has since racked over 50 goals and 50 assists whilst appearing in over 300 matches across all competitions. He is presently the club’s all-time leading scorer from midfield surpassing the previous record set by Cesc Fabregas.
