Pogba has generated doubts over his United future since the summer and it is suggested that he could pursue a return to Turin at the turn of the year.
According to Calciomercato, the Red Devils are open to the option of selling Pogba to the Serie A holders in the near future and Mourinho could be willing to sign Dybala in a potential swap agreement.
Pogba has been largely inconsistent with his showing for United since rejoining them from Juventus in the summer of 2016 and of late, he has created doubts over his future by refusing to rule out a future move away from Old Trafford.
As such, it appears that United could sanction the player’s return to the Bianconeri, though they are said to want Dybala in exchange amid his difficult situation with the Italian champions.
Dybala enjoyed a fruitful 2017/18 season whereby he contributed a career-high tally of 26 goals across all competitions but he has yet to get off the mark this term amid his reduced gametime.
The former Palermo man has been restricted to just two appearances since the start of the season and this has largely come about with summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo commanding a regular role ahead of him.
Aside from United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all said to be monitoring the Argentine forward but Calciomercato suggests that the Bianconeri could be tempted by the Red Devils’ offer which would witness them re-sign former favourite Pogba.
Regardless of the speculation, Pogba remains a United player at present and he is currently preparing to return for club duty after featuring for France in the Nations League games against Germany and the Netherlands respectively.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is reportedly considering his future with the Old Trafford outfit amid the lack of progress with regards to a contract extension. The Spain international has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2014 but over the past year, his gametime has reduced with the vast competition for places.
According to Metro, the 29-year-old is keen to commit his future to the Mancunian giants with his existing contract due to expire at the end of the current campaign. However, United are yet to make any progress in terms of extending his stay and this may witness him to pursue a new challenge when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Herrera was more of a bit-part player during his first two seasons under Louis van Gaal but his skills came to the fray under Jose Mourinho after starring during the club’s Europa League and League Cup double during the 2016/17 campaign.
Owing to his, Herrera also got recognition with the Spain national team for the first time in his career but thereafter things have turned pear-shaped with the added competition at the club.
Over the past two summer transfer windows, the likes of Nemanja Matic and Fred have been recruited to bolster the heart of the midfield and this has witnessed Herrera drop down the pecking order.
Moreover, Mourinho has also preferred to favour Marouane Fellaini ahead of him after his recent contract extension and the Belgian seems to have become the first-choice substitute, if one of Paul Pogba, Fred or Matic are required to be replaced.
Herrera, who is currently on a £75,000 weekly package (The Express), was restricted to just 13 league starts during the previous campaign. The current season has not seen an improvement with just one start from the opening four games, and that surprisingly came in the central defensive position in the shocking 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The France international has not enjoyed the best of starts in the United shirt this campaign and he appears to have made his mind up for a fresh challenge elsewhere.
According to The Express, the Frenchman has handed a notice to the club’s hierarchy and he is prepared to push through a transfer at the turn of the year. It is added that the World Cup winner is keen to work alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, where he won four straight Serie A titles between 2012 and 2016.
Pogba joined the Mancunian giants from Juventus on a club-record £89m fee in August 2016 and much was thereafter expected from the midfielder after his genuine success with the Bianconeri.
However, since then, his showing has been largely inconsistent with only glimpses of his potential showcased in Turin and The Express now claims that his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho has broken down.
Towards the backend of the 2017/18 season, Mourinho stressed that his relationship remains fruitful with Pogba and the rift was only a ‘lie’ but there seems something going between them after the midfielder admitting some differences with the manager during the summer.
Pogba has begun the ongoing Premier League campaign with two goals from the penalty spot from the opening four matches but he could have quite easily added to the tally, had he scored from the spotkick versus Burnley last weekend.
For now, the midfielder has refused to speak upon his position after admitting the fear of being fined, but it will be interesting to see how his situation paves when the January transfer window comes closer.

The Portuguese superstar had a glorious spell with Real Madrid where he went on to win four Champions League crowns in nine seasons but he nevertheless decided to pursue a fresh move with Juventus.
Speaking after United’s 2-0 triumph over Burnley, Mourinho clarified that a deal was ‘never on the table‘ to lure Ronaldo back to Old Trafford despite the transfer speculation over the summer.
In the same interview, he added that the Bianconeri are at an advantage with the arrival of Ronaldo and the Portuguese could enhance their prospects of competing for this season’s Champions League crown.
Meanwhile, United returned to winning ways on Sunday after they secured a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Burnley and they could have easily scored more with the chances up for grabs.
Romelu Lukaku could have had the opportunity to score his maiden United hat-trick from the penalty spot but his chance was taken up by specialist Paul Pogba, who failed to convert his attempt past goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Nonetheless, United go into the international break with some positivity around the club and Mourinho will be hoping that the team can build up on a winning streak when they return in mid-September.
United’s September schedule remains relatively friendly but they need to be wary of the threat from Watford, who have made a strong start to the Premier League campaign under Javi Gracia.
The Hornets have the tendency to beginning with a bang in the every top-flight season and they have once more than that with the team currently one among three clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea to have made the perfect start to the campaign.

The Portuguese footballer made the shock move to Wolves last summer after they paid a Championship-record fee for his services and he was thereafter influential towards their promotion to the top-flight.
Neves was thereon linked with a potential big-money move elsewhere but the midfielder decided to stay put with the west Midlands outfit after he was rewarded with a fresh five-year contract on weekly wages of around (Birmingham Mail) £50,000-a-week.
According to Goal.com, Pep Guardiola’s side are said to have made an approach for Neves during the dying stages of the Premier League transfer window but their efforts vent in vain with Wolves reluctant to lose the play on the eve of their season opener.
As such, the Premier League holders are supposedly planning a fresh approach for either January or next summer but Guardiola fears that Manchester United could hijack the move after knowing of their transfer interest,
Neves’ agent Jorge Mendes has also represented United boss Jose Mourinho for the long-term and Goal suggests that the Portuguese tactician would fancy his fellow countrymen making the switch to Old Trafford.
City are seemingly desperate for a new central midfielder after failing in their pursuit of Jorginho during the summer and Guardiola considers Neves as the perfect fit to adjust to his brand of football at the Etihad Stadium.
Nevertheless, the Mancunian giants can take things for granted with United anymore, given they were beaten to the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Fred in each of the previous two summer transfer windows.
The reigning English champions were also taught a lesson for delaying their agreement to sign Jorginho from Napoli this summer after Chelsea pounced on his signature with the better deal on the table.

The England international spent the 2017/18 season in the Premier League on loan with Swansea City but he has now decided to drop down a division to enhance his prospects of regular game.
Initially, Abraham had hinted that he could fight for his position with the west London giants but Maurizio Sarri’s preference for Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud meant that he could not break into the Blues matchday squad.
As such, he has now taken the decision to drop back into the Championship and he can certainly be expected to make an impact with the Villains after previously netting 26 goals for Bristol City during a loan spell during the 2016/17 season.
At the start of the summer, Steve Bruce’s side were facing the process of entering into administration amid their financial constraints but the change of ownership in between has once more made them a genuine force to reckon with.
Jack Grealish and James Chester were among the players who could have left during the difficult situation but they have managed to overcome the predicament with Yannick Bolasie, Axel Tuanzebe and Abraham among those bolstering the side through loan deals.
At present, Villa have accumulated nine points from their opening five matches and this sees them positioned fourth in the standings, four adrift of Leeds United and Middlesbrough who are occupying the automatic promotion places.
Up next, they are scheduled to face Sheffield United on the road and they should fancy their chances of picking a positive result, should the recent history between the sides be considered.
Since 1992, Sheffield are winless against the Villains in league football with just three points picked in the form of draws and this should provide the west Midlands outfit with a boost ahead of this weekend’s encounter.

Arsenal have confirmed the loan departure of Reiss Nelson to Hoffenheim shortly after the teenager extended his contract with the club. The 18-year-old had just 11 months remaining on his previous deal with the Gunners but he has now put pen-to-paper on an extension which should keep him at the Emirates Stadium until June 2023.
Nelson made his breakthrough during the 2017/18 season whereby former boss Arsene Wenger initially offered him opportunities in the Cup and European games. Thereafter, he was offered a few league matches towards the end of the season and he ended the campaign with 16 appearances across all competitions.
During the recent pre-season, Nelson was a regular fixture under manager Unai Emery but he has now been offered a temporary challenge with Hoffenheim after knowing that he may not feature extensively during the ongoing league campaign. Despite this, he has secured his long-term future with the north London club after penning a fresh extension before his Bundesliga move.
Hoffenheim have transformed into one of Germany’s regulars in the top four and Nelson’s move to the Rhein-Neckar-Arena is certain to help him earn the much-needed gametime to enhance his progress. Moreover, the youngster also has the opportunity to ply his trade in the Champions League which the Gunners can’t offer and strong performances in the competition would certainly encourage Emery to consider him regularly next term.
Aside from Nelson, the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock have earned opportunities to impress in the Gunners first-team over the past season but they have been allowed to continue their progress with the Under-23 side with possible cameos coming their way in the League Cup this term.
Arsenal have made a below-par start to the Premier League season with just one win from their opening three matches and they are already six points adrift of the pace-setters at the top. They are scheduled to face newcomers Cardiff City in this weekend’s league meeting on the road.

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has reportedly been linked with a surprise move away from the Emirates Stadium this month. The France international has made three substitute appearances under Unai Emery since the start of the season and reports now suggest that he could seek a surprise exit before the transfer window closes across Europe.
According to Le10Sport, the 26-year-old is deemed to be considering his Gunners future after failing to start a single game since the start of the campaign. It is added that the marksman is attracting plenty of interest from top European sides but the north Londoners remain reluctant to consider his position until January at the least.
Lacazette has become a regular from the substitutes’ bench since the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last winter but it would still come as a surprise, if he is to pursue a fresh challenge away from the Capital outfit.
Most recently, the Frenchman dismissed the suggestions that he is unhappy after talking up the prospect of securing a regular role under Emery and he could do the same before the international break.
Lacazette has looked lively on the playing field whenever he has come off the bench and last weekend’s game against West Ham United was a particular highlight after he was influential towards the Gunners’ second strike in a 3-1 comeback win.
Gunners boss Emery has been ringing in the changes in every game this term with under-performers being dropped to the bench and Lacazette could be one of those getting a run in the starting lineup at Cardiff City this weekend in Alex Iwobi’s expense.
Mesut Ozil is another who is in contention for a starting role after recovering from an illness but a report from The Telegraph has recently suggested that he may not retain a regular position unless he brings a consistency into his game.

Liverpool have reportedly decided against the potential departure of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet before the European transfer window closes this weekend. The Belgium international has repeatedly highlighted his ambition to pursue a fresh challenge but the Reds now appear unlikely to heed to his demand.
According to The Guardian, the Merseyside giants have no plans of offloading Mignolet after they recently sanctioned the loan departure of Loris Karius to Besiktas. Surprisingly, the Black Eagles were initially interested in landing Mignolet from Anfield but a deal could not materialise with the club’s hierarchy having wanted the permanent exit of the former Sunderland man.
Meanwhile, Serie A side Napoli are also deemed to have expressed an interest in the Belgian shot-stopper but their temporary approach was likewise rebuffed before they decided to sign David Ospina on an initial season-long loan from Arsenal.
Mignolet served as the Reds’ first-choice goalkeeper between 2013 and 2017 but his importance reduced during the second half of the previous campaign after he dropped a clanger during a thrilling 3-3 Premier League draw versus Arsenal.
Thereafter, Karius jumped ahead of him in the pecking order to cement the number one role but his fate was likewise sealed after a unforgettable double blunder during the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Karius thereafter tried to make amends whilst starting regularly during pre-season but his performances were far from impressive as he made the headlines for further mistakes between the sticks.
At present, Mignolet remains the Reds’ number two behind summer signing Alisson Becker and the Belgian may not expect any gametime with the club until their League Cup campaign begins following the international break.
Until then, the £60,000-a-week goalkeeper may need to bide his time in the substitutes’ bench and this is sure to raise frustration, given he has been declined a temporary exit to revive his flagging club career.

The Spain international joined the Blues from Fiorentina less than two years ago and he has since established himself as the first-choice on the left side of the backline.
According to Spanish publication AS, the west London giants could sanction the sale of Alonso before the Spanish transfer deadline with Atletico among the main contenders for his signature.
The Europa League holders are presently expecting the departure of Felipe Luis with Paris Saint-Germain leading the hunt for his signature and this has urged manager Diego Simeone to look into a deal for Alonso, who was previously in the ranks of Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, the move does not assure Alonso of regular gametime unlike at Stamford Bridge, given Lucas Hernandez has certainly cemented the left-back position after starring for France during their World Cup triumph.
Alonso has made a strong start to the ongoing season with a goal and an assist from the opening two league matches and AS suggests that the Blues are not desperate to offload his services unless their £54m price tag is matched.
As such, there appears only a minute possibility that the Spaniard may make way from Stamford Bridge, given Atleti would not want to be spending massive sums on a player, who may only command a deputy role at the beginning.
Chelsea have started the campaign with back-to-back league triumphs over Huddersfield Town and Arsenal and the latter of those games witnessed Alonso score the winning goal in a 3-2 victory.
Up next, the Blues make the trip to Newcastle United for a Sunday league meeting and Alonso and co. may have to produce their best performance on the day, given the club have struggled at St James’ Park with no victories in the previous five visits.
