Despite the cold statistics, demonstrating the clear dominance of Man United, the Wolves seem to be confident for the upcoming clash this weekend. The Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Manchester United, scheduled for Saturday, may surprise a lot of fans on Old Trafford. The two teams are going to the fixture after winning their last two Premier League matches and Manchester United is currently leading with just one point.

Wolves vs. Man United Odds

Manchester United is a clear favourite for the match, with bookmakers offering 1.63 to win. The odds for the Wolverhampton are 6.5.

Wolves vs. Man United Head to Head

Favourites Manchester United have scored wins in their last six fixtures against Wolverhampton at Old Trafford. This includes the last four matches in the Premier League. United comes from two wins against Watford (2-1) and Burnley (2-0), but right before that, they were destroyed by Tottenham (0-3) and could not score a draw against Brighton (2-3). The favourite will also want to avoid two home losses in a row in the Premier League since March 2014.
Wolverhampton Wanderers also won their last two matches in the Premier League – against Burnley (1-0) and West Ham (1-0). But in early September, the clash with Scunthorpe finished a draw, with none of the teams scoring. The Wolves have not been successful three times in a row in the Premier League since March 1980.
Out of eight total matches, Man United have six wins, four at home and another two away, while the Wolves have two home wins.

Wolves vs. Man United News

Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku is the joint-top goalscorer among all forwards, scoring four times ahead of the upcoming match. Hopes are high for him to continue his excellent performance in Saturday’s match against the Wolves on Old Trafford. As Jose Mourinho is looking for a third consecutive win, the Belgian player’s stats would certainly be as essential as they are impressive. He has 14 shots within the penalty area, as well as 8 shots on target.
Following Wolverton’s performance against Burnley at Molineux on Sunday, however, the Wolves will not be easy to defeat. Raul Jimenez netted for a 1-0 result, but the team had a little over 30 attempts on goals.

Wolves vs. Man United Predictions

Despite the positive reviews after Wolverhampton’s win against Burnley, Manchester United remains the absolute favourite.

Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the development of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves with a view to a future approach for his signature.
The Portuguese footballer made the shock move to Wolves last summer after they paid a Championship-record fee for his services and he was thereafter influential towards their promotion to the top-flight.
Neves was thereon linked with a potential big-money move elsewhere but the midfielder decided to stay put with the west Midlands outfit after he was rewarded with a fresh five-year contract on weekly wages of around (Birmingham Mail) £50,000-a-week.
According to Goal.com, Pep Guardiola’s side are said to have made an approach for Neves during the dying stages of the Premier League transfer window but their efforts vent in vain with Wolves reluctant to lose the play on the eve of their season opener.
As such, the Premier League holders are supposedly planning a fresh approach for either January or next summer but Guardiola fears that Manchester United could hijack the move after knowing of their transfer interest,
Neves’ agent Jorge Mendes has also represented United boss Jose Mourinho for the long-term and Goal suggests that the Portuguese tactician would fancy his fellow countrymen making the switch to Old Trafford.
City are seemingly desperate for a new central midfielder after failing in their pursuit of Jorginho during the summer and Guardiola considers Neves as the perfect fit to adjust to his brand of football at the Etihad Stadium.
Nevertheless, the Mancunian giants can take things for granted with United anymore, given they were beaten to the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Fred in each of the previous two summer transfer windows.
The reigning English champions were also taught a lesson for delaying their agreement to sign Jorginho from Napoli this summer after Chelsea pounced on his signature with the better deal on the table.

Liverpool have been brilliant in the attacking third this season and currently, they are the the joint leading goalscorers in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has got more than a few quality attacking players in his squad but he needs more depth to challenge the best of teams next season.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds have the chance to sign Wolves’s star playmaker Helder Costa.
According to the Sun, the Championship side are ready to offload the 23-year-old Portuguese international and Liverpool are keen to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.
The former Benfica attacker has been in brilliant form this season. In 28 starts (all competitions), Costa has directly contributed in no fewer than 18 goals (10 goals and 8 assists). He is mainly a right winger but can play as a central attacking midfielder and also as a center forward if needed.
Wolves recently completed his permanent signing and manager Paul Lambert heavily praised him by stating (Express):

“He’s worth it and I think he will be a massive asset. In time that will be buttons to what his value will be. If Helder produces what he has been producing then he’s a threat without a doubt. He’s a threat whoever he plays against.”
“The great thing about him is that he plays with a smile on his face. You never see him not smiling, on the pitch and off it and in his training. He likes a laugh and he’s one of those guys who has incredible talent and really quick feet.”

The major issue is that Wolves are 20th in the league and as per the provided Sun link, they may have to sell their prized asset, Helder’s agents are also pushing for a PL move.
Costa was influential in helping Wolves defeat Liverpool in the FA Cup. In your opinion, should Klopp splash the cash to sign him?
As far as the team news is concerned, manager Jurgen Klopp has selected a strong team to feature in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Nathaniel Clyne is still not in the squad and in his absence, Randall has got the chance to start in the right back position ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
After signing his new contract with the club, Joe Gomez will start in the central defense with Ragnar Klavan today. Spanish defender Alberto Moreno starts in place of Milner in the left back position.
In the midfield, the likes of Lucas, Ejaria and Wijnaldum start.
As far as the attack is concerned, Origi and Woodburn return to start with Brazilian attacker Roberto Firmino. Here is Liverpool’s confirmed XI formation vs Wolves.
Jurgen Klopp will be looking to get back to winning ways after back to back home defeats. The Reds were recently ousted from the EFL Cup by Southampton.
The German manager may start more than a few youngsters against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Currently, the Reds have the following four players out injured (PhysioRoom).

Clyne

Grujic

Bogdan

Ings

Loris Karius should retain his place in the starting XI ahead of Belgian goalie Simon Mignolet.
Clyne is still not fully fit and we can expect Trent Alexander-Arnold to start again in the right back position. Joe Gomez may partner Joel Matip in the central defense. Spanish defender Alberto Moreno may replace Milner in the left back position.
The likes of Stewart and Lucas will probably start in the center of the park for the Merseysiders.
In the attack, Ejaria, Origi and Woodburn may get the nod to start behind Daniel Stirrudge. Here is Liverpool’s potential XI vs Wolves.
