Luis Suarez, the man who cannot stay away from controversies is also the man who is known to be a serial winner.

He missed 5 opening league games last season and ended top scorer by some margin. He might miss 9 this time but still no one would count him out to finish top scorer again. Such is the quality of Luis Suarez.
Still, the links with Barcelona are growing and the Uruguayan international might be heading towards exit door as Liverpool look for different top targets.
No matter what wrong he has done, Luis Suarez deserves a fitting farewell from Liverpool for all the right reasons when he departs.
Some fans claim that his reputation has damaged the image of Liverpool but that is not true, because the brand/club is too big and historic to be dragged through mud by the acts of one or two players. United had Cantona but in the end success is all that mattered and all that what fans remember.

Football’s governing body are likely to hand Suarez a hefty ban which will probably mean that his World Cup might be over.
However, For some reason, bans and fines have done nothing to help Luis Suarez’s controversial side. Some players have that habit of headbutt, pushing, elbowing opponents to an extent but Suarez case is baffling. It seemed that he did nibble Chiellini and then immediately realized what he has done and acted as if he is hurt.
To fix Luis Suarez’s biting problem for good, something new should be tried. Not to forget he served 7 game ban for biting Bakkal and more recently served a 10 game ban in England for biting Chelsea’s Ivanovic.
The problem may as well be psychological. To do such act of madness not once, not twice but three times says it all. If not and it is physical then fix his teeth, get him braces or new crowns to stop that urge of biting players.
At the moment, there are not many players better than Luis Suarez, and that is exactly the reason why it is sad for a player like him to be involved in so many controversies.

Although, a lot of blame goes to England’s mindless defending as well but Gerrard was of no use in his Liverpool role for England side.
He was effective for the Reds as a regista but was surely their weak link in midfield as far as defense is concerned. Yet Roy Hodgson opted to use him there and it backfired.
Gerrard put in a half hearted tackle, an unsuccessful one, that led to Uruguay’s opening goal and was responsible for the second as his header fell to an unmarked Luis Suarez when England’s defense went asleep.
By some distance, this was the worst World Cup match Gerrard played in 3 tournaments. England need a miracle to progress but they really do not deserve to go any further in the competition.
