Leicester City faces Everton in the 8th Premier League round. Despite winning the title in the 15/16 season, Leicester are not among the teams with great expectations. Leicester’s goals are pretty much spending reasonably, making big outgoing transfers, and being in the top 10.
On the other hand, Everton are spending big recently in order to compete with the Premier League’s top teams for spots in the Champions League and so far the season has gone quite bad for them – just 9 points in 7 matches.

Leicester City F.C. vs. Everton F.C. News

Both teams have changed their managers recently and have brought some new names. So far, the season has gone for Leicester and they have a great opportunity to impress.
Everton will miss James McCarthy and Andre Gomes due to injuries.
Leicester will be without injured Matty James and Demarai Gray. Rachid Ghezzal will miss the tie due to a red-card suspension.

Leicester City F.C. vs. Everton F.C. Head To Head

The last 10 Premier League ties between Leicester and Everton have been pretty even with 3 draws, 4 wins for The Toffees, and 3 wins for The Foxes.
Last season both teams won as hosts – Everton 2-1 and Leicester 2-0.
Leicester come into the tie with 3 successive wins and 5 out of 7 matches finished with over 2.5 goals.
Everton, on the other hand, finally got 3 points in the last round versus Fulham.

Leicester City F.C. vs. Everton F.C. Betting Tips

Both teams scored in 7 out of 9 clashes between The Foxes and The Toffees and 7 out of 9 matches finished with over 2.5 goals scored.
Everton did not manage to keep a clean sheet in 4 successive games against Leicester. However, they have been the first to score in 4 out of 5 games.
Leicester come as the bookmakers’ favorites mainly because they are hosts but based on the previous matches between the two teams, that is a great advantage.

Leicester City F.C. vs. Everton F.C. Predictions

Both teams to score is priced at 1.66 by bet365 which is a value bet and should be given a chance. Another decent bet is the Asian handicap for Leicester to win.
Leicester City – Everton BTTS 1.66 at bet365
Leicester City – Everton 0.0-0.5 1.960 at bet365

The game against the struggling Huddersfield comes in the perfect moment for the hosts who should be looking to get back on the winning way.

Huddersfield Town were lucky to escape relegation last season but are clear favourites for the drop this year. ‘The Terriers’ are winless in 9 Premier League games whilst their last away win came at the end of February in the game against West Brom. David Wagner’s side has scored just 2 goals in 5 fixtures so far but maintained a good defensive performance apart from the games against the champions Manchester City and current Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Leicester City vs. Huddersfield Town Odds

Leicester City are the clear favourites in this clash with winning odds of 1.55. The Draw is priced at 3.80 and win for the away side is valued at 6.50.
Leicester City Win – 1.55
Draw – 3.80
Huddersfield Town – 6.50

Leicester City vs. Huddersfield Town Head to Head

6 of Leicester City’s last 7 games have ended in over 2.5 goals scored.
Huddersfield Town have lost 4 of 5 visits at King Power Stadium.
Huddersfield Town have failed to win in their last 9 Premier League games.

Leicester City vs. Huddersfield Town News

Matthew James is the only unavailable player in Leicester City’s squad after picking up a calf injury last season.
Jonathan Hogg is missing for Huddersfield Town after receiving a red card in the game against Cardiff City on 25 Aug 2018. Juninho Bacuna is unavailable for selection after picking up an injury in his debut for the team against Stoke City at the end of last month.

Leicester City vs. Huddersfield Town Predictions

Huddersfield Town are well-known for their defensive performance. David Wagner’s side is really hard to break, but our opinion is that the hosts have the qualities needed to get the 3 points on Saturday. Leicester should have no problems in achieving a narrow win against Huddersfield Town so we are backing Leicester City to Win and Under 3.5 Goals.
Leicester City to Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.10

Manchester United have reportedly made an official approach to sign defender Harry Maguire from Leicester City this summer. The centre-back has come off a strong display for England at the recent World Cup in Russia and this has made him the leading defensive target for United before next month’s deadline.
According to Sky Sports News, United have made a formal attempt to secure the signing of Maguire, who was named the Foxes’ Player of the Year last term. It is added that the Englishman also fancies the prospect of joining the Mancunian giants, although the move is unlikely to be straightforward.
As per The Manchester Evening News, United would have to first offload one of their existing centre-backs before making an approach for the Englishman. Maguire is presently valued at around £65m and sources suggest that the Red Devils may consider the potential sale of Marcos Rojo to recoup part of the funds for the proposed transfer.
On the other hand, Sky Sports suggests that the Foxes have no plans of selling Maguire whatsoever this summer. The east Midlands outfit have recently received a blow after losing the services of long-serving attacker Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City and they are now keen to avoid the loss of another key asset ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Taking both aspects in mind, United appear to be facing an uphill battle of signing the Englishman regardless of his desire to join them and the next few weeks could give a clear indication whether they can find a breakthrough with the Foxes for the Sheffield-born ace.
Maguire, who was one of the standout performers for England at the World Cup, joined the Foxes from Hull City for a fee of around £17m last summer. He has four years remaining on his existing deal with Leicester City which places them in a strong position to ignore any transfer bids.

Arsenal will be aiming for their first away point of 2018 when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday night. The Gunners have been one of the worst performing teams on the road this season but they will be hoping for a better finish under their departing manager. The Capital outfit conclude their league campaign with an away trip to Huddersfield Town this weekend.

Formation: 4-3-3
Lineup:
Petr Cech had a reasonably comfortable afternoon against Burnley last weekend and this enabled him to keep only his second clean sheet of 2018. He should start in goal ahead of David Ospina.
In the defence, Wenger may probably swap Sead Kolasinac with Nacho Monreal at left-back but besides this, no other changes could be made. In this case, Hector Bellerin should start in his regular right-back role with the young pairing of Calum Chambers and Konstantinos Mavropanos featuring at centre-back for their third straight league game.
In midfield, Granit Xhaka has been more of a regularity under Wenger and the Swiss is more likely to start in the holding position. Alongside him, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are strong candidates to feature ahead of Alex Iwobi.
Iwobi had a storming performance against Burnley which he capped off with a sublime goal but the Nigerian should be benched for Ramsey. The Welshman is capable of offering more in the defensive scheme of things against Leicester, who are bound to play on the counter-attack.
Further ahead, Mesut Ozil is definitely ruled out for the encounter after suffering a back problem and this should witness a similar lineup from the Burnley game. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should mostly feature on either side of Alexandre Lacazette, who should lead the attack.
Prediction:
Both teams to score but Arsenal to end their away woes.
Leicester City 1-3 Arsenal

The Algeria international came close to joining Manchester City during the winter of 2018 but the Premier League holders were not able to finalise an agreement with the east Midlands outfit.
According to The Express, the 27-year-old could be pushing for a fresh challenge away form the King Power Stadium in the summer after failing to do so in the previous two transfer windows. On both occasions, Mahrez had handed in a transfer request but unfortunately none of the interested clubs could match the Foxes’ price tag.
As per The Express, Mahrez has a particular preference to join the Gunners ahead of City in the summer as he already owns a house in the English capital. Should the Gunners fail to make an approach, the former Le Havre graduate has identified Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea as possible alternatives.
Mahrez has been out of the Foxes squad on a couple of occasions this term owing to issues over his commitment but he has still performed to the best of his abilities with 10 goals and eight assists across all competitions.
The Gunners were hotly in the pursuit of Mahrez shortly after his Premier League triumph in 2016 but the club appear to have since moved on with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being added to the forward department.
Moreover, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang only arrived during the backend of the winter transfer window and the Gunners’ hierarchy may show more importance towards other departments ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal have often been vulnerable in the central defensive and goalkeeping positions and the focus may lie on reinforcing these areas first before pondering over the prospect of recruiting another attacker. Mahrez’s current £80m valuation would remain too step for the Gunners in any case.

Chelsea sealed their progress to the semi-final stage of the FA Cup after they secured a 2-1 triumph over Leicester City in added extra-time. The Blues found the scoresheet through Alvaro Morata and Pedro with Jamie Vardy’s equaliser sandwiched between them.
Player Ratings:
Willy Caballero: The Argentine managed to once again start ahead of Thibaut Courtois in a Cup competition. Made a couple of rash decisions to rush out, and was fault for Jamie Vardy’s equaliser – 6/10
Cesar Azpilicueta: Another top performance from the captain. The Spaniard struggled with the brilliance of Lionel Messi in midweek, but was more solid against the Foxes. Could not restrict Vardy’s equaliser despite a block leading to the goal – 7/10
Andreas Christensen: The Dane has had a tough few weeks, but managed to have a better positional sense this time around. Should have shown better awareness prior to Vardy’s goal – 6.5/10
Antonio Rudiger: The German has been keeping out Gary Cahill from the line-up, but he has not done much to keep his position. Had a number of nervous moments prior to the completion of normal time.
Victor Moses: A poor performance from the Nigerian, who appears to have lost for ideas. Could not find the perfect cross on the attack, and was likewise disappointing at the back where he allowed Vardy a free header on goal – 5/10
Marcos Alonso: The Spaniard has looked far from his best form of late, and this may be associated with fatigue. The Spaniard was outran by Riyad Mahrez prior to Vardy’s goal – 5.5/10
Tiemoue Bakayoko: Another game to forget for the France international. The midfielder made his first appearance in over a month, and did nothing credible before his half-time substitution – 4/10
N’Golo Kante: An exact opposite of Bakayoko. The Frenchman was a live wire on the field against his former club, and this made up for Bakayoko’s no-show. Provided a brilliant chip for Pedro’s winner on the night – 9/10
Eden Hazard: The Belgium international has lost his flair from the early part of the year. Could not find a way through the Foxes’ defence, and was often frustrating due to his inability to find the final ball – 6/10
Willian: Another strong performance from the Brazilian, who probably warrants a new contract. The attacker provided a delightful assist for Morata’s opener, but slowed down later after picking up a knock – 7.5/10
Alvaro Morata: The Spain international ended a 13-match goal drought on Sunday, and nearly grabbed himself a brace, if not for Kasper Schmeichel’s interception. Showed his brilliance only in stages – 7/10
Substitutes:
Cesc Fabregas: The midfielder came in place of Bakayoko following the break, but kept things calm with his intrinsic passing. Defended well during the dying stages of the game – 6/10
Pedro: The Spaniard has not been in the best of form, but managed to contribute when it mattered the most. The attacker took advantage of a goalkeeping error from Schmeichel to head in the winner – 7/10
Gary Cahill: Came in for Andreas Christensen, who appeared to have picked up a knock. Kept his focus during the crunch period in added extra-time to secure the Blues’ progress – 6.5/10
Olivier Giroud: Did not do much on the attack front, but was a handy target man to have at the end. Received some harsh words from Antonio Conte after needlessly losing the ball on the attack – 6/10

The Blues come into the game on the back of a disappointing Champions League round of 16 exit at the hands of Barcelona, and they will be desperate to keep their silverware hopes alive on the road to the Foxes.
Formation: 3-4-3
Lineup:
Willy Caballero has been the preferred pick for the Cup competition this term, and Antonio Conte could probably stick with the Argentine ahead of current first-choice Thibaut Courtois, who was prone to mistakes at the Camp Nou.
In central defence, we are anticipating more of the same from the Blues. Cesar Azpilicueta is likely to lead the club once more in a three-man backline involving Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Victor Moses has not been fluent with his delivery from the right-wing back position, but judging by Conte’s selection of late, the Nigerian is likely to retain his spot with Marcos Alonso featuring in the left wing-back spot.
In midfield, N’Golo Kante is certain to start on the day, and Conte could be tempted to pair him alongside Danny Drinkwater, with the pair more accustomed to the opposition’s tactics back from their Leicester days.
Further forward, Willian has been by far the Blues’ best option on the right side of the attack, and it is a no-brainer to start him after his recent performances against the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona.
Other than this, Eden Hazard should slot into his regular left-wing role for the Cup quarter-final, whilst Alvaro Morata may probably get the nod over Olivier Giroud, who was below-par during his maiden Champions League start for the Blues in midweek.
Morata has not been in the best of form with 13 straight matches without a goal, but he is still capable of coming up with moments of brilliance in the counter-attack with his pace. The cross-field ball from Azpilicueta worked to Morata’s benefit earlier in the season.
Predicted Lineup (3-4-3): Caballero; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen; Moses, Kante, Drinkwater, Alonso; Willian, Hazard, Morata
Last week, we covered a report via Bein Sports France claiming that Liverpool are close to signing the Algerian international.
Now, according to an exclusive report covered by Express, the 26-year-old attacker is in transfer talks with the Reds. It is mentioned that terms of a transfer are being discussed between Liverpool and Mahrez’s camp.
This season, the African star, who won the PFA Player of the Year award in 2016, has so far directly contributed in 15 goals in the Premier League.
Few days back, Mirror reported that Arsenal want to sign the £40million rated star as well and as per the provided Express link, he actually wants to join the Gunners having bought a property in London recently.
Leicester are currently 8th in the table and would not like to lose their prized asset in the middle of the season. Mahrez’s current deal with the Foxes will expire in 2020.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days.

The Reds need to replace Philippe Coutinho with a proven quality playmaker and Mahrez would be a quality signing.
At the weekend, we covered a report via Bein Sports France claiming that Liverpool are close to signing the 26-year-old attacker.
According to Mirror, Arsene Wenger wants to sign the versatile playmaker, who is rated at £40million, to replace Alexis if the Chilean leaves the club this month but he could face competition from Liverpool.
Also Read: Versatile Star Keen to Seal Liverpool Move – Would Cost Over €62million
On the other hand, Le Buteur have covered a story on Mahrez as well. They mention that Klopp recently praised the player and would insist on signing the African star, who won the PFA Player of the Year Award two seasons ago.
As per Le Buteur’s own information, the player’s agent has not met with the leadership of Liverpool as yet. They have further stated that Liverpool want to find a preliminary agreement with the Foxes first before negotiating terms of contract with the agent to sign Mahrez.
In the current campaign, Riyad has so far scored 7 goals and provided 8 assists in 22 league appearances for Leicester City, who are currently 8th in the table.
In your opinion, is Mahrez good enough to replace Coutinho at Anfield? Here is Liverpool’s probable line up with Mahrez.

The Gunners are 6th in the Premier League and it will not come as any surprise to see Wenger leave if Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League yet again.
The North Londoners desperately need to sign top quality players this month and they must also hold on to key playmakers like Alexis and Ozil.
Also Read: Deal Close – Arsenal to Agree $34million Signing
The Chilean international is heavily linked with a move to Manchester City and reports (Mirror) suggest that Wenger will only let Sanchez leave if he can secure a proven high-profile signing to replace him.
In such a scenario, the British source have mentioned that Wenger wants to lure Leicester’s £40million rated ($54.2million) star Riyad Mahrez. It is mentioned that the Foxes will fight to keep the Algerian but he would welcome a move to Arsenal.
Mahrez is a proven quality Premier League star, who has what it takes to replace Alexis at the Emirates. This season, so far, the African playmaker has directly contributed in 15 goals in 21 league starts.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
