Pogba has generated doubts over his United future since the summer and it is suggested that he could pursue a return to Turin at the turn of the year.
According to Calciomercato, the Red Devils are open to the option of selling Pogba to the Serie A holders in the near future and Mourinho could be willing to sign Dybala in a potential swap agreement.
Pogba has been largely inconsistent with his showing for United since rejoining them from Juventus in the summer of 2016 and of late, he has created doubts over his future by refusing to rule out a future move away from Old Trafford.
As such, it appears that United could sanction the player’s return to the Bianconeri, though they are said to want Dybala in exchange amid his difficult situation with the Italian champions.
Dybala enjoyed a fruitful 2017/18 season whereby he contributed a career-high tally of 26 goals across all competitions but he has yet to get off the mark this term amid his reduced gametime.
The former Palermo man has been restricted to just two appearances since the start of the season and this has largely come about with summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo commanding a regular role ahead of him.
Aside from United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all said to be monitoring the Argentine forward but Calciomercato suggests that the Bianconeri could be tempted by the Red Devils’ offer which would witness them re-sign former favourite Pogba.
Regardless of the speculation, Pogba remains a United player at present and he is currently preparing to return for club duty after featuring for France in the Nations League games against Germany and the Netherlands respectively.

The Spain international has been with the Blues since the summer of 2014 and during this period, he has racked over 180 appearances across all competitions.
Despite this, his long-term future with the Blues remains uncertain with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign and Corriere dello Sport claims that the Rossoneri may seek to take advantage of the situation.
It is added that the San Siro giants have been trying to pursue the midfielder since his Premier League days with Arsenal and they could be prepared to make a fresh attempt when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Fabregas has not made a league appearance for the Blues since the start of the campaign and this has largely resulted from him suffering a mysterious knee problem which has kept him out since his cameo in the Community Shield.
In his absence, Jorginho and N’Golo Kante have firmly established themselves in two of the three midfield positions up for grabs and it appears that Mateo Kovacic has sealed the third after making starts in each of the previous two league games.
As such, the Spaniard’s position does not appear fruitful with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley present to provide additional competition but he could yet surprise the doubters by winning over a starting role just like he did under ex-boss Antonio Conte last term.
Nevertheless, Fabregas has yet to extend his contract beyond the summer of 2019 and it will be interesting to see whether he would favour a one-year extension which would go in hand with the Blues’ strict policy for players above the age of 30.
Fabregas, who has won two Premier League titles with the Blues, would be free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club at the turn of the year. Should the Blues decide against an extension, they may also consider his sale for a cut-price fee.
AC Milan have already loaned Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea this summer with the option to buy and Corriere dello Sport suggests that they could use their good association with the Blues to lure Fabregas from Stamford Bridge.

The France international has been a regular for the Red Devils over the past couple of seasons and there remains question marks regarding his long-term future amid his strained relationship with Jose Mourinho.
According to ESPN FC, United had initially planned to discuss a contract extension with the midfielder but their plans have now been shelved with the midfielder continuing to present an uncertainty over his Old Trafford future.
Pogba had been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer but the move could not materialise after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward refused to entertain offers for the World Cup winner.
Since then, Pogba is deemed to have called a truce with Mourinho to stay put for the season but ESPN reports that the Frenchman could push for an exit next summer, should Barcelona revive their interest.
Pogba returned to the United fray last month after an impressive showing for Les Bleus at the summer World Cup but he has since struggled to replicate a similar performance for Mourinho’s side.
Barring the two penalty goals he has scored, Pogba has looked far from impressive with his open play and this has supposedly angered a section of the United faithful amid his reluctance to rule out a future move away from the club.
Pogba is presently with Les Bleus for the inaugural UEFA Nations League and he played the entire 90 minutes of the goalless stalemate against Joachim Loew’s Germany on Thursday night.
He is very much certain to retain his starting role for the next group stage game versus the Netherlands at the Stade de France on Sunday evening. France have won each of their previous four matches against the Dutch.

Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has supposedly stalled on discussions over a new contract with the club amid his struggles to secure a regular role under manager Jose Mourinho.
A recent report from The Times suggested that the Frenchman is prepared to sign a new five-year contract with the club with the hope that he can outlast Mourinho at the Old Trafford outfit.
However, there has since been no update with regards to the proposed extension and The Sun suggests that the 22-year-old has binned contract talks until he can get a clarity over his position under Mourinho.
Martial’s relationship with Mourinho deteriorated during the backend of the previous campaign after he found himself dropped to the bench upon the winter arrival of Alexis Sanchez.
Thereafter, the Frenchman struggled to make an impression during the remainder of the campaign and the situation has remained the same this term where he has made a solitary start against Brighton & Hove Albion.
As such, The Sun claims that Martial has been reluctant to extend his United contract since May and the standoff could prolong for the ongoing campaign, though the club want his future resolved by next summer.
At present, Martial may have to stick with a bench role for the forthcoming Premier League game but he could however earn a start in the League Cup fixture against Derby County, given the manager may seek to rotate the squad.
On regular periods, Marcus Rashford would unquestionably be the preferred pick to lead the line for such an encounter but Martial should have the advantage this time around with the former serving a three-man suspension after his sending-off versus Burnley.
Martial presently has just 10 months remaining on his current £65,000-a-week contract with United but the club have the option of an extension clause which would prolong his stay by an additional season.

The Spain international has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2014 but over the past year, his gametime has reduced with the vast competition for places.
According to Metro, the 29-year-old is keen to commit his future to the Mancunian giants with his existing contract due to expire at the end of the current campaign. However, United are yet to make any progress in terms of extending his stay and this may witness him to pursue a new challenge when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Herrera was more of a bit-part player during his first two seasons under Louis van Gaal but his skills came to the fray under Jose Mourinho after starring during the club’s Europa League and League Cup double during the 2016/17 campaign.
Owing to his, Herrera also got recognition with the Spain national team for the first time in his career but thereafter things have turned pear-shaped with the added competition at the club.
Over the past two summer transfer windows, the likes of Nemanja Matic and Fred have been recruited to bolster the heart of the midfield and this has witnessed Herrera drop down the pecking order.
Moreover, Mourinho has also preferred to favour Marouane Fellaini ahead of him after his recent contract extension and the Belgian seems to have become the first-choice substitute, if one of Paul Pogba, Fred or Matic are required to be replaced.
Herrera, who is currently on a £75,000 weekly package (The Express), was restricted to just 13 league starts during the previous campaign. The current season has not seen an improvement with just one start from the opening four games, and that surprisingly came in the central defensive position in the shocking 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portuguese footballer made the shock move to Wolves last summer after they paid a Championship-record fee for his services and he was thereafter influential towards their promotion to the top-flight.
Neves was thereon linked with a potential big-money move elsewhere but the midfielder decided to stay put with the west Midlands outfit after he was rewarded with a fresh five-year contract on weekly wages of around (Birmingham Mail) £50,000-a-week.
According to Goal.com, Pep Guardiola’s side are said to have made an approach for Neves during the dying stages of the Premier League transfer window but their efforts vent in vain with Wolves reluctant to lose the play on the eve of their season opener.
As such, the Premier League holders are supposedly planning a fresh approach for either January or next summer but Guardiola fears that Manchester United could hijack the move after knowing of their transfer interest,
Neves’ agent Jorge Mendes has also represented United boss Jose Mourinho for the long-term and Goal suggests that the Portuguese tactician would fancy his fellow countrymen making the switch to Old Trafford.
City are seemingly desperate for a new central midfielder after failing in their pursuit of Jorginho during the summer and Guardiola considers Neves as the perfect fit to adjust to his brand of football at the Etihad Stadium.
Nevertheless, the Mancunian giants can take things for granted with United anymore, given they were beaten to the signings of Alexis Sanchez and Fred in each of the previous two summer transfer windows.
The reigning English champions were also taught a lesson for delaying their agreement to sign Jorginho from Napoli this summer after Chelsea pounced on his signature with the better deal on the table.

The England international spent the 2017/18 season in the Premier League on loan with Swansea City but he has now decided to drop down a division to enhance his prospects of regular game.
Initially, Abraham had hinted that he could fight for his position with the west London giants but Maurizio Sarri’s preference for Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud meant that he could not break into the Blues matchday squad.
As such, he has now taken the decision to drop back into the Championship and he can certainly be expected to make an impact with the Villains after previously netting 26 goals for Bristol City during a loan spell during the 2016/17 season.
At the start of the summer, Steve Bruce’s side were facing the process of entering into administration amid their financial constraints but the change of ownership in between has once more made them a genuine force to reckon with.
Jack Grealish and James Chester were among the players who could have left during the difficult situation but they have managed to overcome the predicament with Yannick Bolasie, Axel Tuanzebe and Abraham among those bolstering the side through loan deals.
At present, Villa have accumulated nine points from their opening five matches and this sees them positioned fourth in the standings, four adrift of Leeds United and Middlesbrough who are occupying the automatic promotion places.
Up next, they are scheduled to face Sheffield United on the road and they should fancy their chances of picking a positive result, should the recent history between the sides be considered.
Since 1992, Sheffield are winless against the Villains in league football with just three points picked in the form of draws and this should provide the west Midlands outfit with a boost ahead of this weekend’s encounter.

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly open to the possibility of replacing Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, should they require a change during the campaign. The Frenchman is presently on the watch for a new vacancy after he decided to part ways with Los Blancos in the summer after winning three straight Champions League titles.
According to The Mirror, the former World Cup winner is looking into the difficult situation at Old Trafford and he is prepared to take over the reigns, should they fancy a change in management. Moreover, the Frenchman believes he can bring a sense of stability around the club and he is impressed with the financial backing for Jose Mourinho and his predecessor Louis van Gaal.
Despite this, United are not currently considering the dismissal of Mourinho and he continues to receive the entire support from the hierarchy despite a poor start to the season. United seemingly begun on the right path after securing a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Leicester City but things have since gone pear-shaped for them with back-to-back losses to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur.
Up next, the Red Devils are scheduled to face Burnley on the road and that remains a game where they should fancy three points, considering the Clarets had a midweek Europa League clash versus Olympiakos. If they are to experience another defeat, Mourinho’s future could come under question further and the international break forthcoming could spark more uncertainty regarding his position at the helm.
Mourinho went with a three-at-the-back formation during the recent 3-0 defeat to Tottenham but the 55-year-old is likely to revert to the conventional 4-3-3 setup to compensate for an additional attacker in the ranks. Alexis Sanchez only came off the bench in recent Spurs defeat and he could be among those starting from the off versus Sean Dyche’s side.

Liverpool have reportedly decided against the potential departure of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet before the European transfer window closes this weekend. The Belgium international has repeatedly highlighted his ambition to pursue a fresh challenge but the Reds now appear unlikely to heed to his demand.
According to The Guardian, the Merseyside giants have no plans of offloading Mignolet after they recently sanctioned the loan departure of Loris Karius to Besiktas. Surprisingly, the Black Eagles were initially interested in landing Mignolet from Anfield but a deal could not materialise with the club’s hierarchy having wanted the permanent exit of the former Sunderland man.
Meanwhile, Serie A side Napoli are also deemed to have expressed an interest in the Belgian shot-stopper but their temporary approach was likewise rebuffed before they decided to sign David Ospina on an initial season-long loan from Arsenal.
Mignolet served as the Reds’ first-choice goalkeeper between 2013 and 2017 but his importance reduced during the second half of the previous campaign after he dropped a clanger during a thrilling 3-3 Premier League draw versus Arsenal.
Thereafter, Karius jumped ahead of him in the pecking order to cement the number one role but his fate was likewise sealed after a unforgettable double blunder during the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Karius thereafter tried to make amends whilst starting regularly during pre-season but his performances were far from impressive as he made the headlines for further mistakes between the sticks.
At present, Mignolet remains the Reds’ number two behind summer signing Alisson Becker and the Belgian may not expect any gametime with the club until their League Cup campaign begins following the international break.
Until then, the £60,000-a-week goalkeeper may need to bide his time in the substitutes’ bench and this is sure to raise frustration, given he has been declined a temporary exit to revive his flagging club career.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has reportedly decided to put contract talks on hold until the winter transfer window. The Wales international has been in a contract standoff with the Gunners over the past year and the saga now appears likely to head into 2019.
According to The Mail, the 27-year-old is not in a rush to resolve his future with the Gunners and he could take the example of Mesut Ozil by delaying negotiations until January.
Ozil was rewarded with a bumper £300,000-a-week contract in January 2018 after stalling on a new deal for the best part of a year and Ramsey is supposedly planning a similar approach to find a breakthrough with the Gunners.
Nonetheless, Ramsey has already been told that he would not receive wages anywhere close to that of Ozil and the Welshman is now said to be eyeing at least double of his current salary of (Express) £110,000-a-week.
Arsenal have found themselves in difficult situations with regards to player contracts in recent years and the last 12 months has witnessed the exits of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez and Jack Wilshere as a result of the same.
Despite this, the north London side have refused to be held to ransom and Ramsey could be heading through the exit door in January, should a contract renewal not be processed before the closure of the winter transfer window.
Ramsey has started in two of the Gunners’ three games during the ongoing Premier League campaign but he has yet to contribute in the form of a goal or an assist for Unai Emery’s side.
Regardless of this, Emery has previously highlighted that he remains an important member and the Welshman should be guaranteed of regular gametime until January despite his contract situation.
With just 11 months left on his contract, Ramsey would potentially be free to discuss a pre-contract with overseas clubs when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the calendar year.
