David Silva and Gerard Deulofeu were on the score sheet for the Spaniards.
Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante played the entire game for the Les Bleus but could not help France dominate the midfield the way he does for the Stamford Bridge club.
After beating the French side, fullback Cesar Azpilicueta posted a picture on his twitter account with Chelsea teammates Kante, Costa and Pedro. He tweeted:
Gran victoria ante un gran rival! Great win against a great opponent! On our way to London!
Azpilicueta and Costa were not used in the game against France. On the other hand, Pedro started the contest and played 67 minutes.
The Spanish superstar won the World Cup and two European Championships with the senior national side and won almost all the major trophies at club level with sides like Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern.
Alonso posted a picture (provided below) on his official twitter account and stated:

“Lived it. Loved it. Farewell beautiful game.”

He played full 90 minutes as Bayern thrashed Arsenal 5-1 at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
This season, he has so far featured in 27 games for the reigning Bundesliga champions, scored three goals and provided one assist.
The Argentine boss is keen on signing a pacy winger with an eye for goal and a certain Spanish international is in the limelight.
According to reports (Daily Mirror), the former Southampton manager is ready to secure the signing of Barcelona attacker Cristian Tello. The La Roja star played on loan with Portuguese side FC Porto in the first half of last season and with Italian club Fiorentina in the second half.
Overall, the 24-year-old winger scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists in 35 games last season. Tello made 13 league starts for the Serie A side and directly contributed in 7 goals (2 goals and 5 assists).
The Barca attacker is mainly renowned for his pace and trickery but he is definitely not a top quality star.
In your opinion, should Tottenham sign Cristian Tello?
A brace from Arsenal target Alvaro Morata and a goal from Celta Vigo attacker Nolito sealed all three points for the reigning European Champions.
The Juventus striker had a mundane opening game of the tournament but was top class against the Turkish side.
Morata scored his first goal with a brilliant header in the 34th minute and second was an easy tap in early on in the second half.
Here are the vines of the goals provided below.
The Spanish side have more than a few world class players in the squad and it will be intriguing to see who makes it into the starting XI.
Fantasy Football site Oulala believes that Manchester United star David De Gea is the one player to watch for the La Roja side.
The former Atletico Madrid goalie is arguably the best keeper in the side and must get the nod to start. He played three qualifying games for Spain and did not concede a single goal.
Moreover, for the third year running, De Gea won Man United’s Player of the Year award. His key stats from last season are provided in the infographic below.

Despite many predicting the upcoming European Championships to be one of the most competitive in the tournaments history due to the amount of quality throughout, it will still be a major surprise should we see a repeat of the 2004 competition, in which Greece shocked the footballing world to claim glory.
Hosts France join past winners Germany and Spain as favourites for the competition, however the last 16 will be filled with some of Europe’s elite talent from potential outsiders.
The likes of England, Belgium and Portugal will all be hoping to finally win their first European Championships this summer, and could well mount serious challenges come the latter stages. Should Roy Hodgson’s men navigate themselves past the likes of Russia and Wales to make it out of Group B, the attacking threat of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy could well come into prominence against the bigger teams.
Meanwhile, fresh off the back of Champions League success, Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping to add to his medal haul this season. Should Portugal top Group F, a potential last 16 tie against Belgium or Italy is certainly a mouth-watering prospect for supporters.
With the football odds for the tournament changing on an almost daily basis, Bookies.com provide platforms offering the best deals from online bookmakers in the build up to the competition.
One man who will be hoping to grace the international stage for possibly the last time, is the mercurial Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Should a move to Manchester United materialise, which was reported by many this week, the former PSG and Barcelona man will perhaps have extra motivation to achieve success with Sweden.
Elsewhere, should Spain come out safely from the so called ‘Group of Death’, containing Croatia, Czech Republic and Turkey, Vicente Del Bosque’s men will once again be among the leading contenders for glory, despite their lack of a recognised goal scorer. Bookies.com offer some of the best deals involving free bets for the upcoming tournament, starting with the opening fixture between France and Romania this Friday.

The Spanish international is arguably one of the best goal keepers in the world and is destined to improve as well.
However, speculations were there that the former Atletcio Madrid goalie will soon be departing Manchester United with Real Madrid eager to secure his services.
The Red Devils have done the right thing by securing a long term contract for him and finally sealing deal to keep De Gea for another 5 years.
According to renowned Ecuadorian journalist Roberto Bonafont, De Gea has agreed a 5 year deal with United that will earn him £120,000 a week.
With him signed up for long term, United should now focus on signing top defenders in front of him.

Manchester United’s chosen one David Moyes did not work according to plan for the Red Devils as they went from champions to finish out of European places.
The former Evertonian was then showed the door to bring in one of the most experienced managers Louis van Gaal.
Fresh from his World Cup heroics, Van Gaal found out that United are a bigger mess than he could imagine. The results have started to improve and Van Gaal may prove to be good for the Devils.
How long will he last is another matter but Red Devils perhaps have a brilliant news as far as the next potential manager is concerned.
Two times Champions League winner with Barcelona and current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardila revealed his desire to manage Manchester United one day.
Spanish journalist Martí Perarnau states:

“The day after beating Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final, Guardiola and Estiarte travelled to Manchester to watch their next opponent in action.”
“It was May 4, 2011, and the pair sat together in the stands of Old Trafford watching Sir Alex Ferguson’s team beat Schalke 4-1. Once again Pep had turned to his friend and said: ‘I like this atmosphere. I could see myself coaching here one day.”

Many United supporters would think that he would have been the best choice after Alex Ferguson but it wasn’t to be. Pep’s Bayern ousted Manchester United from the Champions League last season and the Red Devils have to wait at least a year to return to the competition.

Who would have thought that the side that dominated World football for the past 6 years will be ousted from the World Cup with such humiliation.
Chile’s 2-0 victory over Spain ensured that there will be a new champions as the La Roja side lost back to back games for the first time since 2006 and at the worst possible occasion.
All that is left for Spain is a dead rubber against Australia and even a win against the Socceroos will not be enough consolation.
So, What went wrong for the World Champions. The answer to that is quite literally Everything.
Their defensive fragilities were well known and Netherlands absolutely ripped them apart in the opening game to shatter their confidence.
Captain and Legend Casillas, after his horrific display against Holland, made another costly error against Chile to gift them the second goal.
Having said that, Spain’s world class attack was nowhere to be found.
Apart from Iniesta, no one seemed comfortable against the rigid defense of Netherlands and Chile. Moreover, when they did find a way through, Diego Costa was in the worst form of his life.
With one of the best attacking squads in the world, Spain have only managed to score once and that too from an undeserved penalty kick and rarely did they create a clear cut opportunity. The goal difference of (-6), every single stat is unbelievably shocking.
Players like Juan Mata, Cesc Fabregas and David Villa were not even utilized and to think that Spain crashed out with such depth is even more shame.
They won the European Championships two years ago without much hassle and are now eliminated without even showing up. At least, Australians went down with a fight.
End of an Era.
