Tottenham started the season as title contenders but have lost their past three games in all competitions. Brighton, on the other hand, have no win in 4 games.

Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Tottenham is on a very disappointing streak which must end in Brighton if they want to keep close to the table leaders. The odds for the guests to win are very favourable.
Tottenham Hotspur win – 1.72

Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Head to Head

Tottenham have won twice and recorded their last tie with Brighton back in December 2017.
Despite Tottenham not keeping a clean sheet for the past 3 games, they will be determined to get the points against Brighton who have not kept a clean sheet for the past 13 games.
The past 7 Tottenham matches had over 2.5 goals and Tottenham were first to score in 7 out of their past 8 matches.

Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur News

Unfortunately for Tottenham, a lot of their key players will miss the tie but that might be a motivation for the team to impress.
Dele Ali, Erik Lamela, Hugo Lloris, and Moussa Sissoko will miss the tie for Tottenham.
Pascal Gross will be the big name missing for Brighton.
Despite the missing players, this is a must-win game for Tottenham who are under great pressure from both fans and media.

Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

Brighton have their chances and will try to extract maximum gain from the bad situation at Tottenham. Having the advantage of hosts Brighton are very likely to score a goal. On the other hand, Spurs will do their best to get the three points, which includes scoring more than the opponent.
Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur both teams to score – 1.75

Brighton & Hove Albion piled further pressure on manager Arsene Wenger as Arsenal succumbed to their third straight Premier League defeat.
The Gunners once more lacked discipline in the defensive department, and it ultimately came to haunt them with goals from Lewis Dunk and Glenn Murray handing the Seagulls a 2-1 triumph. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tapped in the consolation for the Gunners, prior to the half-time break.
Player Ratings:
Petr Cech: Another average performance from the Gunners number one, who seems to have caught up with his trailing age. The Czech was at blame for the second goal, in particular, where he failed to stop Murray’s headed-effort which was within his grasp – 4/10
Calum Chambers: Brought into the lineup ahead of Hector Bellerin. The Englishman lacked the attacking presence of his counterpart, and struggled to find the final cross on a number of occasions. Was behind the eight ball with José Izquierdo tending to be a menace on the left side of the attack – 5/10
Sead Kolasinac: The Bosnian played in place of the injured Nacho Monreal, but he did little in the attack front. The left-back should have been sent off for a reckless challenge on Ezequiel Schelotto in the second period, and was lucky to have escaped without a second yellow – 5/10
Laurent Koscielny: The captain has come under stick for the lack of organisation, and he probably has to take part of the blame for another lacklustre display on the road. Had a tough afternoon with Murray posing a physical threat throughout – 5.5/10
Shkodran Mustafi: The German has likewise dropped off since the League Cup final, where he was largely at blame for the opening goal. Mustafi took the responsibility of defending against Murray prior to Brighton’s second, but failed to stop the cross – 5/10
Jack Wilshere: Despite not producing a scintillating attacking display, Wilshere tried his best to get the Gunners back into the game with his tireless intrinsic passing. Unfortunately his teammates were not in sync – 6/10
Granit Xhaka: Another average performance from the Swiss international, who has surprisingly been ever-present in the Premier League. Xhaka lacked the mobility whilst defending Brighton’s efforts, especially from set-pieces. Assisted Aubameyang’s goal.- 5/10
Alex Iwobi: The Nigerian has one of his days to forget. The left-sided winger was largely a passenger over the course of the game, and he was eventually substituted for Danny Welbeck in the second period – 4.5/10
Mesut Ozil: Ozil tried to find an outlet with his passing game, but unfortunately his decision-making was just too slow. The German had one genuine attempt on target which Matt Ryan intercepted – 5.5/10
Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Probably the second-best player on the pitch after Aubameyang. The Armenian tried to make something out of the possession, but could not find the key pass for his striker to take advantage of – 6/10
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: The Gabon international had limited service upfront, but he made the most of his chances. Scored the opening goal with a lovely tap-in, and nearly setup his teammates for the leveller – 6.5/10
Substitutes:
Danny Welbeck
Eddie Nketiah
Hector Bellerin

Yesterday, we predicted Liverpool’s starting XI vs Brighton but recent reports have suggested that the Reds are facing more than a few injury concerns.
First choice central defender Joel Matip has suffered a thigh injury which could keep him out of action for one month (Telegraph). Klopp has got a shaky defense and losing a senior defender is a massive blow.
Also Read: Liverpool have Klopp’s Approval – Ready to Sign $48million Star
In Joel’s absence, Klavan would have normally returned to the starting XI but reports suggest that the Estonian missed training due to illness (Express) and in such a scenario, he might not be fit enough to start.
Therefore, we can expect Trent Alexander-Arnold to start in the right back position and Joe Gomez will probably get the nod to start with Dejan Lovren in the central defense.
Here is Liverpool’s updated 4-3-3 XI vs Brighton.
Next up, the Merseysiders will face Brighton away from home and Klopp’s men should be considered favorites to earn all three points.
As far as the team news is concerned, we can expect the German boss to make a few changes in the starting XI that played vs the Potters.
Star playmaker Philippe Coutinho should return to start in the central midfield with the likes of Wijnaldum and skipper Henderson.
In form star Mohamed Salah scored two goals for the Reds in the last game even after coming on in the second half. The Egyptian superstar should return to the starting XI and will probably partner Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the attack.
The Old Trafford club are already eight points behind league leaders Manchester City and must earn all three points against the newly promoted team.
As far as Mourinho’s team news is concerned, the Portuguese manager must hand Zlatan Ibrahimovic his first start post injury and should start the legendary striker with Romelu Lukaku up front.
Also Read: How £89million Star Could Line up for Manchester United – Jose Wants him
The former Chelsea boss has got a very strong defense but in the attacking third, United have not been at their best and therefore, Jose must come with a new attacking system and we believe that 4-1-2-1-2 wide formation would be perfect.
In that setup, Pogba should start behind the two strikers. Matic should start as the lone defensive midfielder and Rashford and Martial should start out wide vs Brighton.
Here is Man United’s strongest possible XI vs Brighton.
The Dutch manager let go stars like Falcao, Robin van Persie, Angel di Maria and Javier Hernandez in the summer and only lured Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.
With no quality depth in the strike-force, Van Gaal made another horrific decision of loaning out young striker James Wilson to Championship side Brighton.

So far this season, captain Wayne Rooney has netted 2 goals in 12 Premier League games. On the other hand, big money signing Martial has netted 3 goals in 11 PL games. Not to forget, he scored those 3 goals in his first two games.
Meanwhile, Wilson has netted twice in his 3 championship games for Brighton and United are now interested in bringing him back in winter.
Wilson loan spell will expire at the end of the season but Brighton manager has confirmed (Daily Mail) that Man United can activate the clause and get their striker back in mid-season. The Red Devils surely need to bring him back as soon as possible because the current strike-force dilemma is frustrating everyone attached with the club.

The North Londoners rested majority of the first team players but still had a very strong side with the likes of record signing Ozil, Rosicky and pacy winger Theo Walcott playing in attack.
The mentioned trio were on the score-sheet for the Gunners but once again Arsenal’s shaky defense could have cost them on the day.
Fortunately, they did outscore the opponents and qualified for the next round.
Rosicky was arguably Gunners’ best player on the day, brilliantly set up Ozil’s goal and even though his poor clearance led to conceding a goal, he bounced back with a brilliant volley goal
Flamini returned to the starting XI as hoding midfielder in place of Francis Coquelin but the former AC Milan man could not break play as effectively as Coquelin has been doing lately.
Here are Arsenal player ratings against Brighton.
The top half premier league teams like Chelsea, City, Spurs, Southampton were ousted at home while Manchester United and Liverpool were held to a draw and will play a replay.
The reigning champions cannot be complacent and must not get carried away. Wenger has hence started a strong side to face Brighton.
Record signing Mesut Ozil starts alongside Theo Walcott and Tomas Rosicky in attack behind lone striker Giroud.
Aaron Ramsey and Flamini take the central midfield role as in form Coquelin is rested on the bench for the game.
Young Akpom and Bellerin also make the bench while Chambers starts on the right hand side in defense.
Monreal starts with Koscielny in central defense as Gibbs takes the left full back role.
Polish keeper Szczesny returns to the starting line up as well. Here is Arsenal’s confirmed starting XI formation vs Brighton.
The Gunners have been in brilliant form of late, after beating the champions in their confidence is sky high and should be considered favorites to beat Brighton.
As far as the team news is concerned, expect all the substitutes against City to make into the starting XI for the cup tie.
Arsenal have to play their next premier league game in the next month and have enough time to rest the players after the FA cup game hence few first starters against City may make the lineup as well.
German international Mesut Ozil has only featured for some time as a substitute against Stoke City, against Manchester City, the record signing was an unused sub. Expect him to make his first start since returning from injury.
The likes of Rosicky, Flamini, Walcott and Szczesny should also be starting against Brighton. New signing Krystian Bielik may as well get the nod to make his Arsenal debut
Here is Arsenal’s strongest XI vs Brighton.

Gus Poyet finds himself now looking for new work after his contract at Brighton and Hove Albion was terminated last night, with the now ex-Seagulls manager appearing to have been made aware of the news while he was working as a TV pundit for The Confederations Cup.
Poyet was originally supposed to be analysing the first-half of the game between Nigeria and Spain for the BBC, but the majority of the 15 minutes assigned for that ended up becoming a discussion about the breaking news with regards to what happened at Brighton and where he can likely go from here. Poyet had initially been suspended, pending investigation from his previous position last month after the teams Play-Off Semi-Final defeat to rivals Crystal Palace, but the suspension was made over reports of a falling out with boardroom members and a breach of contract and nothing to do with the club falling just short of a place in next seasons Premier League. Now a month on and the powers that be at The Amex Stadium have decided that they can no longer continue their working relationship with Poyet and have officially decided that now is the time to part ways.
The club have issued a statement on their official website denying Poyet’s claims that he was taken completely by surprise and first made aware of the decision by a member of the BBC’s production team printing off a copy of the official statement regarding his departure and handing it to him during the ongoing match he was meant to be watching. Instead they claim that meetings took place over the course of the weekend including yesterday with Poyet and his legal representatives where they state that the Uruguayan was made fully aware of the fact that a decision regarding his dismissal was pending and that he knew exactly what was going on.
It is entirely up to the reader to believe whether or not they think that statement from the club is true or not, what presumably would be on most Brighton fans minds now other than who the new manager will be is why could this decision not have been announced at a more appropriate time? Regardless of the board’s feelings towards Poyet now, given all he had done for the club, such as turning them from a lower-half League One side in 2010 to a promotion chasing Championship side in 2013, why could this decision not have been announced publicly today instead? That way they could have avoided the criticism from fans and outsiders for the bad timing of this decision and the increase in sympathy that Gus Poyet has received from it. In the end it may well be something that won’t even bother the decision makers at the club, but really it does the reputation of Brighton and Hove Albion as a whole not much good.
Poyet has announced that he intends to appeal the decision to dismiss him, which also prevents the club from hiring a new manager on a permanent basis until a decision is made. With clubs now starting to prepare for pre-season, the timing of this could well come back to haunt Brighton who will almost certainly start their preparation campaign with no new manager there to set out initial hopes and expectations for the upcoming season. Brighton are still a strong team regardless and many will expect them to be amongst the frontrunners again, but if they don’t get off to a good start and end up missing out again, many will perhaps consider this saga between Poyet and the board members as a reason for any potential failure.
