After 6 games, the Les Bleus are now second in the table and must step up big time to qualify for the next year’s World Cup.
Arsenal star Olivier Giroud gave France the lead with a stunning volley goal in the 37th minute of the game. The home side failed to clear Payet’s ball and it fell to the former Montpellier striker, who controlled it brilliantly and then smashed a wonderful volley in the net.
However, Durmaz scored before half time and Toivonen netted in second half injury time to earn all three points for Sweden on the night.
The video of Giroud’s stunning goal is provided below.

However, star playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, started and captained Armenia in the last night’s victory over Kazakhstan.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was arguably the best player on the field and scored the crucial opening goal of the game to give his side the lead in the World Cup qualification game.
The deadlock was broken in the 73rd minute of the game. Mkhitaryan received the ball on the edge of the box, went past one player and slotted the ball in the net with a sublime finish.
Two minutes later, Oezbiliz doubled the lead and secured the victory for the home side. The video of Mkhitaryan’s goal is provided below.

Last night, Liverpool stars Firmino and Coutinho started for Brazil in the World Cup qualifying game against Uruguay and helped the team win the contest.
The duo were involved in their team’s second goal. Philippe found the ball on the right wing, eased past one defender and then passed the ball to Firmino.
Roberto brilliantly turned and drilled a left footed shot, which rebounded in the path of Paulinho, who made no mistake in slotting the ball home.
The Samba stars came from behind to win 4-1 on the night. Neymar scored one and the former Tottenham midfielder netted a hat-trick to earn all three points for the visitors. The Selecao are leading the WC qualification table with 30 points in 13 games.
The video of Brazil’s second goal is provided below.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola was in the stands to watch the Reds perform and must come with a plan to stop such a brilliant attacking side at Anfield on New Year’s Eve.
Liverpool’s Brazilian star Roberto Firmino has been out of form lately. Moreover, he has recently been charged for drink driving but the former Hoffenheim star was impressive yesterday.
He scored the second goal for the Merseysiders with a brilliant left footed drive. The Samba star’s strike hit both the posts before going in.
At first, Firmino probably thought that he missed. In the video provided below, it can be observed that the Brazilian went down on his knees when ball hit the right post and then got back up to celebrate in his trademark fashion (pretending to take the shirt off)

The Polish side took the lead in the first half thanks to Borussia Dortmund attacker Jakub Blaszczykowski. However, late on in the second half, Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri equalized the tie with an absolutely stunning goal for Switzerland.
The former Bayern Munich playmaker fired in the most perfect scissor’s kick from distance to beat Fabianski in the 82nd minute. Without doubt, Shaqiri’s strike is the goal of the tournament so far.
Eventually, the Swiss side lost the game on penalties. Arsenal’s new summer signing Granit Xhaka was the only player to miss the spot kick. Poland will face Portugal in the last eight.
Here is the vine of that stunning Shaqiri strike provided below.
Goals from Lavezzi, Messi and Higuain were enough to seal the victory.
Messi is now Argentina’s all time record goalscorer after netting his 55th goal for the nation in his 112th appearance.
The record was held by La Albiceleste’s legendary striker Gabriel Batistuta who netted 54 goals in 78 games for the two time World Cup winners.
The Barcelona superstar broke the record in some style with a stunning free kick goal from over 30 yards. The vine of that brilliant goal is provided below.
A brace from Arsenal target Alvaro Morata and a goal from Celta Vigo attacker Nolito sealed all three points for the reigning European Champions.
The Juventus striker had a mundane opening game of the tournament but was top class against the Turkish side.
Morata scored his first goal with a brilliant header in the 34th minute and second was an easy tap in early on in the second half.
Here are the vines of the goals provided below.
