Liverpool defeated Stoke City on penalties to book a place in the final of the Capital One Cup where they will meet either Manchester City or rivals Everton.
The Reds had a goal advantage going into the second leg vs the Potters but Mark Hughes’ men leveled the score on aggregate thanks to a controversial goal scored by Arnautovic late in the first half.
No goals were scored after that in regular and extra time and the game was eventually decided by penalty kicks. Simon Mignolet made two brilliant saves for the Reds and Joe Allen confidently dispatched the winning penalty to ensure Wembley return.

Everyone attached with Liverpool is ecstatic about returning to the Wembley Stadium and here are a few reactions from the former Reds who were absolutely delighted with the victory. Surely, the legendary Steven Gerrard was never going to miss out from the list.
