The Brazilian was a huge hit for the Magpies during his temporary stint in the backend of last season and he has now been offered another chance to impress under manager Rafael Benitez.

Kenedy has now officially returned to Newcastle United on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season! ?? #NUFC pic.twitter.com/zScbA3nc4z

Kenedy had mostly featured in the left-wing back role during his time under Antonio Conte last season but his switch to Selhurst Park enabled him to operate further up the field where he was able to influence with his creativity. Overall, the 22-year-old managed to make 13 appearances for the Magpies during the second half of last term and during this period, he made a genuine impression with two goals and two assists to his name.
Kenedy, who is currently on a wage package of £25,000-a-week, becomes the Magpies’ third recruit of the summer transfer window following the permanent signing of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng, who arrived on a free transfer from relegated Swansea City last month.
Despite the recruitments, Newcastle boss Benitez should be eyeing more signings during the ongoing transfer window with the club yet to spend any sizeable fee on a top-class recruit. The Tynesiders have already witnessed West Ham United spend nearly over £50m on six players to date and surely, Benitez has one eye on the proceedings with the Magpies in need to strengthen their frontline.
A new striker has been highlighted as one of the key targets for Benitez during the ongoing transfer window but considering Mike Ashley’s reluctance to spend big sums, the Magpies may have to offload first before making an approach for a marksman. Serbia international Aleksandar Mitrovic has been linked with a permanent exit to Fulham after impressing for the Cottagers on loan last term and his departure may enhance Newcastle’s transfer business.

The Switzerland international had a good season with the Potters last term with eight goals and seven assists in the Premier League but his showing could not contain his team’s relegation from the English top-flight.
As a result, Shaqiri has already admitted that he would have to leave the Staffordshire-based club and The Sun reports that United are among the prime contenders to secure his signature.
As per the publication, United boss Jose Mourinho had kept a close watch on the attacker’s proceedings during the ongoing World Cup and he has apparently told his close friends about how he was impressed with the attacker’s performance.
It is added that the Mancunian giants could compete with Liverpool for the Swiss forward, who presently has an affordable relegation release clause of just £12m written into his Potters contract.
The right-wing position has been a problematic spot for United over the past campaign with Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and even Jesse Lingard struggling to make an impact from the spot.
Anthony Martial has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit after dropping down the pecking order during the second half of last season and his agent has confirmed that the Frenchman may pursue a fresh challenge.
In this regard, Shaqiri could come of use with his tendency to cut inside from the right wing but it is yet to be seen whether his potential arrival may coincide with any player exits. The former Bayern player has scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist in the World Cup 2018 and Switzerland will collide against Sweden in the quarter final tomorrow. In case you are looking for bets on the WC fixtures, check them out at NetBet Sport.
Martial’s representative had sought to extend his client’s contract during the month of December but United never really showed an interest to the disappointment of the forward. He is presently contracted to the club until June 2019.

Barcelona are understood to have failed with a £50m bid to sign Willian from Chelsea. The Brazil international has been with the west London giants for the past five seasons and he happened to enjoy his best campaign last term, scoring 13 goals across all competitions.
Despite this, his future remains uncertain heading into the crunch phase of the transfer window and The Mail has now dropped a surprise contender in the form of Spanish champions Barcelona.
As per the publication, the Catalan giants had made an offer worth £50m for the Brazilian footballer but the offer was not deemed sufficient to convince the Blues into a probable sale.
Willian has not managed to cement a regular starting role under Antonio Conte over the past couple of seasons but he has still remained committed to the Blues, who have made him a better player.
As such, the departure of the Brazilian would certainly be a surprise, though the Blues may still be tempted to accept a sizeable offer for a player, who will have turned 30 by the start of next season.
Aside from Barcelona, Manchester United are also understood to hold an interest in Willian owing to the presence of former Blues boss Jose Mourinho but the Mancunian giants have yet to make an approach for the summer.
Nonetheless, the transfer of any senior players appear to have been put on hold for the moment with the Blues yet to confirm the signing of a new head coach, who could replace Conte.
Conte has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge ever since the club’s failure to make the top-four last season but there has so far been little movement in terms of securing a possible successor.
Former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri has been highlighted as the prime target over the past month but the Blues have yet to negotiate a compensation package to release him from his contract with the Serie A club.

The France international has struggled to maintain his consistency since his second coming with United in the summer of 2016 and this has spread doubts over his future in recent months.
According to The Sun, Les Parisiens could be prepared to do business for Verratti, who has been highlighted as one of Jose Mourinho’s prime targets for the summer transfer window. However, for this to happen, the Capital outfit are understood to want to re-sign Pogba in a swap deal which would include a part-payment.
Despite the speculation, it would come as a huge surprise if Pogba leaves Old Trafford, considering the midfielder has recently suggested that he has solved his ‘minor issues with manager Jose Mourinho.
Last season, Pogba had found himself on the substitutes’ bench between February and March amid concerns over his form but he managed to win his position soon after with Mourinho playing him on the left side of a midfield three.
As such, United are not in any compulsion to part ways with their leading midfielder and their interest in Verratti may also be shelved amid suggestions that Marouane Fellaini could prolong his stay.
The Belgium international has been in a contract standoff with the Red Devils over the past year but there are suggestions that the club have finally convinced him to stay by issuing him with a two-year contract.
Should this be the case, Mourinho is unlikely to move for a midfield recruit with summer signing Fred already bolstering the position and the priority may now shift towards the heart of the backline.
The Portuguese is understood to be eyeing an experienced centre-back during the current transfer window but so far, the club have not managed to reach a preliminary agreement for any player.

The 26-year-old has just a couple of weeks left on his current deal and it appears likely that he could leave the Gunners on a free transfer next month.
According to Sky Sports News, Wilshere could end his long association with the Gunners at the end of the month after failing to negotiate fresh terms with the club. Wilshere had been expecting a decent hike on his current £120,000-a-week but the Gunners urge for him to take a pay-cut has supposedly ended talks over a probable extension.
As a result, the likes of Everton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been highlighted as some of the Premier League clubs vying for his signature whilst there is also understood to be interest from the Serie A with Juventus, AC Milan and Sampdoria monitoring his developments.
Wilshere has had genuine concerns over his fitness which has hampered his progress over the past decade. However, in the past two years, he has managed to overcome some of his issues and has averaged 30 appearances with Bournemouth and Arsenal respectively – the former on a season-long loan during the 2016/17 season.
In this regard, the midfielder would prove a valuable asset for any club in the Premier League or elsewhere but the need for gametime is something which may lure him to a club of Everton’s calibre, who can offer him regular first-team football with the prospect of winning silverware in the future.
The Merseyside outfit have put down their plans to push for European football in the coming seasons and Wilshere could prove a valuable asset in their quest, should he prefer a move north. Wilshere has spent just one-and-a-half seasons of his professional career away from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are reportedly discussing the possibility of signing midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria this summer. The 22-year-old is currently with the Uruguayan national side for the World Cup after a solid season with the Blucerchiati, where he made 38 appearances across all competitions.
According to Sky Sports, the north London giants are interested in securing a summer move for the tenacious midfielder but they are reluctant to pay the transfer sum in full. As such, there have discussed the possibility of paying £26.5m in installments rather than triggering the minimum release clause (£22m) written into the midfielder’s contract.
Torreira joined the Blucerchiati from Italian minnows Pescara three years ago but he was loaned backed to the Biancazzurri for the 2015/16 campaign in order to earn more first-team experience. Since then, the Uruguayan has been a constant figure at the Serie A club and his consistent performances have earned him a World Cup berth under Oscar Tabarez.
Judging by the recent wave around social media, Torreira has been compared with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante for his workrate and ability to make game-changing tackles but besides this, the Uruguayan has proved to have an additional asset with his long-range passing skills. Despite this, a signing cannot be judged by the performance in a different league and a potential move to the English top-flight may truly bring out the overall qualities of Torreira, who has yet to start an international game for his national team.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also lining up a move for a new shot-stopper to replace Petr Cech and Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno has been underlined as the prime target. The long-time Leverkusen servant has already hinted that he may pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere and the Gunners have supposedly begun talks with the Bundesliga outfit regarding a summer switch.

The France international was heavily tipped to join the Merseyside giants prior to the summer World Cup but the potential agreement has now been cancelled, according to Les Gones’ official website.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already done their initial business for the summer with the announcement of Fabinho’s arrival from AS Monaco but unfortunately, they have been unable to get through a deal for Fekir.
The Frenchman is understood to have undergone a medical, agreed terms and had an introductory video with the Merseyside outfit but the club appear to have doubted their very own pursuit at the 11th hour.
As per The Mirror, the Reds were said to be concerned over the Frenchman’s injury concerns over his right knee and this prompted them to re-negotiate a lesser transfer sum which did not impress Les Gones.
Keeping this in regard, Les Gones have now made an official statement to confirm that Fekir won’t be making the move to Anfield this summer and they have gone to the extent of suggesting that the attacker will stay put with them for the next campaign.
Despite the announcement, Liverpool could remain optimistic over a deal for the Frenchman considering they found themselves in a similar position with Virgil van Dijk 12 months ago.
Back then, the Reds had to pull out of the pursuit of Southampton defender Van Dijk following an illegal approach from Klopp but they managed to sign the Dutchman six months later where they paid a club-record £75m fee for his services.
Liverpool have been fairly active since the resumption of the transfer window and they have already recruited Fabinho from AS Monaco. Any fresh negotiations for Fekir, however, may only begin following the summer World Cup.

Manchester United have announced the capture of Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot from Porto for a reported fee of around £19m. According to Sky Sports, the 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with the Red Devils with the option of a further 12 months.
United’s pursuit of Dalot came as more of a surprise during the backend of last month, considering the player had managed just eight competitive appearances for the Porto senior side. Nonetheless, the United scouts were said to have sufficiently impressed with the player’s development since the Under-20 World Cup in 2017 and this has witnessed them take the option of signing him for £19m, around £1.5m more than his release clause which would have only become active at the end of the month.
With Dalot having signed for the club, Mourinho is likely to sanction the exit of Matteo Darmian this summer, considering the Italian has already agreed personal terms with Juventus. The former Torino man has been in regular contact with the Bianconeri chiefs regarding a switch to Turin and the transfer is supposedly being put on hold with the Serie A holders yet to match £12m price tag.
Nevertheless, the transfer is unlikely to drag on for the entirety of the summer transfer window with the Bianconeri keen on having the player on-board prior to the departures of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah, who have declined to extend their contracts beyond June 2018.
United have now secured two signings for the transfer window after reaching an agreement for Fred earlier in the week but there could yet be another midfield arrival for the summer, should Marouane Fellaini part ways with the club.
The Belgium international appears to have declined the prospect of extending his stay beyond the end of this month and his potential departure is likely to witness a replacement signed, as per Mourinho’s comments during the back-end of last season.

The Switzerland international is expected to leave the Bianconeri on a Bosman when his contract concludes at the end of the month.
In a report covered by Sky Sports, Lichtsteiner highlighted that ‘nothing’ has been agreed with the north London club and the negotiations are likely to continue with the Capital outfit.
Earlier on Friday, the 34-year-old had been spotted visiting the Gunners’ London Colney training centre and this spread the speculation that he could join the club in the coming days.
However, this does not appear to be the case, as per Lichtsteiner’s latest comments, and the deal could potentially be delayed by a month with the right-back due to represent his nation at the summer World Cup.
As things stand, Lichtsteiner has 99 caps with the Switzerland national side and he could reach the century mark when La Nati take on Japan in an international friendly on Friday night.
Lichtsteiner has enjoyed the best spell of his career with Juventus where he has won the Serie A crown in each of his seven seasons in charge but he has still taken the decision to pursue a fresh challenge.
At Arsenal, the Swiss would certainly not earn regular gametime ahead of Hector Bellerin but the right-back is seen as someone who could offer the much-needed experience and leadership in the big matches.
The Gunners have often unperformed on the road against the top-six and a player of Lichtsteiner would provide the much-needed defensive awareness which has been lacking with Bellerin, who is more attack-minded in nature.
Arsenal are yet to announce any signing for the summer transfer window but there are understood to be close to sealing the signature of Borussia Dortmund centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

The Switzerland international has decided against signing a new contract with the Bianconeri and he is expected to be available on a Bosman when his deal expires next month.
According to Evening Standard, the Gunners could be leading the race for the former Lazio man, who is eyeing a fresh challenge outside of the Serie A. The report adds that the 34-year-old has recently visited the club’s London Colney training ground, though the club have yet to agree on a contract with the experienced right-back.
Judging by his age, Lichtsteiner may not emerge as the regular right-back ahead of Hector Bellerin but he would nevertheless provide competition to the Spaniard, who has looked far off from his best form in recent seasons.
Bellerin has particularly been vulnerable in the defensive side of his game and this is something which the Gunners may look to resolve in the short term with Lichtsteiner, who offers leadership as well as valuable experience.
Arsenal were largely disappointing in the defensive front last season where they leaked 51 goals in the top-flight and this transpired into their worst-ever finish (sixth) under Arsene Wenger in his final season in charge.
As such, the backline should emerge as the key focus for the summer transfer window with Laurent Koscielny sidelined for the long-term whilst Shkodran Mustafi has yet to put in a string of consistent performances in the Gunners shirt.
Mustafi was touted for a possible switch to Inter Milan during the previous summer transfer window and the Nerazzurri could yet return for the former Valencia man after having clinched their progress into next season’s Champions League.
Lichtsteiner has spent seven seasons with Juventus since his move from Lazio and during this period, he has won seven Serie A titles, five Italian Cups and four Italian Super Cups.
