The 26-year-old has just a couple of weeks left on his current deal and it appears likely that he could leave the Gunners on a free transfer next month.
According to Sky Sports News, Wilshere could end his long association with the Gunners at the end of the month after failing to negotiate fresh terms with the club. Wilshere had been expecting a decent hike on his current £120,000-a-week but the Gunners urge for him to take a pay-cut has supposedly ended talks over a probable extension.
As a result, the likes of Everton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have been highlighted as some of the Premier League clubs vying for his signature whilst there is also understood to be interest from the Serie A with Juventus, AC Milan and Sampdoria monitoring his developments.
Wilshere has had genuine concerns over his fitness which has hampered his progress over the past decade. However, in the past two years, he has managed to overcome some of his issues and has averaged 30 appearances with Bournemouth and Arsenal respectively – the former on a season-long loan during the 2016/17 season.
In this regard, the midfielder would prove a valuable asset for any club in the Premier League or elsewhere but the need for gametime is something which may lure him to a club of Everton’s calibre, who can offer him regular first-team football with the prospect of winning silverware in the future.
The Merseyside outfit have put down their plans to push for European football in the coming seasons and Wilshere could prove a valuable asset in their quest, should he prefer a move north. Wilshere has spent just one-and-a-half seasons of his professional career away from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have reportedly offered midfielder Jack Wilshere with a final contract offer. The England international has been in a contract standoff with the Gunners this term, and it appears that he could leave the north Londoners on a Bosman in the summer.
According to The Mirror, the 26-year-old has been urged to take a pay-cut of £20,000 on his current £110,000-a-week wages, and this is something the midfielder does not agree upon. Meanwhile, the proposed deal is also said to include numerous incentives based on performances and appearances, which could potentially put him level with his existing package at the Emirates Stadium.
Since December, Gunner boss Arsene Wenger has regularly spoken about his intention to prolong Wilshere’s stay, but as things stand, the club’s hierarchy are reluctant to budge to the midfielder’s wage demands.
Wilshere is typically said to want the £110,000 weekly salary, he is currently on, but Gunners contract chief Huss Fahmy is adamant that the club won’t offer a single penny more than the present offer on the table.
Should things remain as it is, Wilshere is likely to face the disappointment of leaving his hometown club during the summer, and this could potentially cause a backlash among the supporters, given he is a fan favourite and regarded as a future captain for the club.
Serie A duo Juventus and AC Milan are presently among the main foreign clubs said to have expressed an interest in Wilshere’s signature, whilst he could also offered a chance to prolong his Premier League career with Everton, who have likewise made their desire known.
Apart from the trio, arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester City are also monitoring the proceedings of the Stevenage-born ace, though the midfielder would want assurances of a regular spot to consider a potential switch during the summer.
Wilshere’s showing with Arsenal this season have earned him a return to the England national side, but he unfortunately won’t play any part in Friday’s international friendly against the Netherlands after sustaining an injury during a training session.
