Previously, Colombia ended Brazil’s brilliant winning streak as Murillo scored the winner against the Samba stars.
Now, few hours back Peru defeated Venezuela thanks to a cracking goal from former Chelsea and Bayern Munich star Claudio Pizzaro.
The veteran striker was a highly rated forward in Europe during his first tenure with German giants Bayern Munich but 36 year old Pizzaro showed he has still got the X factor as he smashed the ball to earn Peru a crucial win.
Venezuela were reduced to 10 men after Fernando Amorebieta was red carded around half hour mark.
Even after playing an hour with a man advantage, Peru were mostly frustrated upfront. However, in the 72nd minute, Guerrero found Pizzaro who smashed the ball with enough power that keeper could not keep it out.
Here is the vine of that goal provided below.

Manchester United rejected Radamel Falcao’s permanent move at Old Trafford after average performances from the Colmbian star. Former Atletico and Porto striker has brilliant goal scoring stats but could not find form under Dutch...

Manchester United rejected Radamel Falcao’s permanent move at Old Trafford after average performances from the Colmbian star.
Former Atletico and Porto striker has brilliant goal scoring stats but could not find form under Dutch manager Louis van Gaal.
Chelsea and Liverpool target has been regularly scoring goals for the national side lately and has faced mixed remarks on his performances from those who follow him.
The 29 year old South American is not bothered by what people think and is focused on the Copa America as Colombia face Venezuela tonight.
Not to forget, despite all the ups and downs, Falcao was chosen as the captain of Colombia for the competition and has the support of two more star strikers in the form of Carlos Bacca and Jackson Martinez.
Reflecting on himself, Falcao stated:

“Being the recognisable face of the players makes me proud, and also the responsibility”
“Today I am a more complete footballer, and if I don’t score goals or as many goals as before they say that is not the same Falcao. But if Falcao scores, they say that Falcao is back. But Falcao has never left. It depends from what point of view you measure Falcao.”

He is still regarded as one of the best finishers around and Copa America provides him the perfect stage to find his best form back.
