Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has signed two central defenders (Ragnar Klavan & Joel Matip) and a new goalie (Loris Karius) to reinforce his defense this summer.
Now, the Reds have agreed a new contract with a young defender in the form of England international Lloyd Jones.
The Merseysiders have confirmed on their official website that the 20-year-old starlet has signed a new deal with the club and has been loaned out for a season to Swindon Town.
The 6 ft 2 England international is mainly a center back but he has also been deployed in the right back position. Last season, the youngster featured in four U-21 Premier League games for the Reds and scored 2 goals. He made 11 appearances for Blackpool (on loan) in the last campaign as well.
Liverpool have completed seven key signings so far this summer and the German manager must further reinforce the quality of his squad to challenge the best teams next season.

Liverpool have completed quality signings this summer to reinforce squad but they still need to sign a quality midfielder.
Milner might play central midfield role for the Reds and Rodgers may consider him a direct replacement for Gerrard but Reds still need a long term replacement for their former captain fantastic.
Whether or not they will sign a top midfielder this summer is another matter, for now, Reds have loaned out a young midfield player to gain quality experience.
The player in discussion is Liverpool’s U21 midfielder Jordan Williams. Liverpool agreed to loan out the 19 year old Welsh international and have officially confirmed that one year deal with Swindown Town has been sealed.
Jordan made his first team debut with the Anfield club last season against Boro in the league cup.
Williams is a defensive midfield star for the Reds and played in 20 U21 league games last season, scored 2 goals and provided an assists as well.
