Manchester United secured their fourth Premier League win on the bounce as they beat Swansea City by a 2-0 scoreline at Old Trafford on Saturday. Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring in the fifth minute after a delightful assist from Alexis Sanchez, and the latter completed the scoring for the Red Devils with a 20th-minute strike.

Three things we learned:
Romelu Lukaku sets Premier League record: The Belgium international received plenty of stick during the festive period, where he struggled to find the scoresheet on a regular basis. However, since the turn of the year, the 24-year-old has been in splendid form for Jose Mourinho’s side, and he scored for the third game on the trot this weekend. The goal was Lukaku’s 100th in the Premier League, he therefore became the quickest foreign player to achieve this feat.
Alexis Sanchez back with a bang: The Chilean had come for criticism from the United faithful earlier this month, owing to his tendency of losing possession of the ball, all too often. However, with the international break, the attacker appears to have got the chance to revive his old form, and he was hugely productive against Swansea with a goal and an assist. Sanchez’s work-rate faded prior to his substitution during the second period, and Mourinho said the Chilean suffered physically after featuring in the friendlies for Chile.
Manchester United maintain second spot: With Manchester City cruising towards the Premier League crown, United have made it a priority to finish in the runner-up position. With the victory over the Swans, United have a two-point advantage over Liverpool with a game in hand, but this could all change in the space of another week. United have a cross-town derby at City next Saturday, where the latter can seal the Premier League crown and Mourinho surely needs another tactical masterpiece to surprise the Citizens. United also have to contend with a home game versus Arsenal prior to the end of the campaign.

The Welsh club defeated an in form Liverpool side in their last league game. Can they upset the Gunners as well?
As far as Arsene Wenger’s team news is concerned, we can expect new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan to make his debut for the north Londoners.
The Armenian international has not been in good form this season and he will surely look to step up big time for his new team. The former Dortmund star will probably start with German international Mesut Ozil in the attack behind lone center forward Alexandre Lacazette.
The likes of Elneny, Xhaka and Wilshere could start in the midfield for the Gunners. As far as the defense is concerned, Monreal, Mustafi, Koscielny and Bellerin may start in the back line in front of Czech goalie Petr Cech.
Here is Arsenal’s likely 4-3-3 XI vs Swansea.
As far as the team news is concerned, manager Arsene Wenger is expected to make more than a few changes to the starting XI that played vs Norwich in the league cup.
Eddie Nketiah was the hero vs the Canaries but the teenager will likely be replaced by Lacazette in the attack. Star playmakers likes Ozil and Alexis should return to the team to start behind the French forward.
After a disappointing start to the new campaign, Ozil was brilliant in the last PL contest vs the Toffees. He scored a goal, provided an assist and created eight goal-scoring chances – the most in a single PL fixture by a player in this campaign.
Bellerin and Kolasinac should start in the wing-back positions. As far as the midfield is concerned, Xhaka and Ramsey will probably start.
The likes of Mertesacker, Koscielny and Monreal should start in the defense in front of Cech. Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 3-4-2-1 XI vs Swansea.
Next up, the Red Devils will collide against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in the league cup. Who will come out on top?
As far as the team news is concerned, the former Chelsea boss may make a few changes to the starting XI that played in the last contest.
Lindelof had a day to forget vs Huddersfield but with Jones and Bailly out injured, we can expect the Swedish center half to start vs the Swans tomorrow night.
Lukaku needs to rest and in his place, Rashford may get the nod to start in the center forward position. Behind the England international, the likes of Lingard, Mkhitaryan and Martial should start in the attack.
Blind should return to the starting XI to play in the defense in front of Argentine goalie Sergio Romero, who will probably replace De Gea. Here is Man Utd’s probable 4-2-3-1 XI vs Swansea.
Next up, the Red Devils will collide against Swansea City and should be considered favorites to earn all three points away from home.
As far as the team news is concerned, Mourinho may make only one change in the starting XI that featured vs the Hammers last weekend.
Expect Spanish international Ander Herrera to return to the starting XI in place of compatriot Juan Mata.
The former Athletic Bilbao star should partner summer signing Nemanja Matic in the center of the park for the Old Trafford club. In such a scenario, we can expect record signing Paul Pogba to move into the No. 10 position behind the main center forward.
The likes of Mkhitaryan, Rashford and Lukaku will probably retain their places in the attacking third. Here is Man Utd’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Swansea.
As far as Mourinho’s team news is concerned, the former Chelsea boss has benched first choice right back, Antonio Valencia, for the contest. In his place Young starts today.
Bailly and Blind retain their places in the central defense and Luke Shaw will start as the left back vs the Swans. In the absence of suspended Marouane Fellaini, Carrick and Herrera will start in the center of the park for the Red Devils.
Captain Rooney has returned as well and he will partner the likes of Lingard and Martial in the attack behind lone center forward Marcus Rasfhord.
Jose clearly has one eye on the upcoming Europa League tie against Celta Vigo and has opted to bench key playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The good news is that Juan Mata has returned to the team as well and the Spaniard starts on the bench.
Next up, the Old Trafford club will collide against relegation threatened Swansea City, who ended their three game losing streak by beating Stoke 2-0 in the last weekend’s meeting.
United are still in pole position to finish in the top four and a win tomorrow will help them overtake arch rivals Liverpool in the table.
As far as Man United’s team news is concerned, at the moment, 7 players are out injured for Jose Mourinho (PhysioRoom). Belgian international Marouane Fellaini was sent off against the Citizens and will miss the game against the Swans due to suspension.
Therefore, we can expect the likes of Herrera and Carrick to line up in the central midfield for the Red Devils.
Skipper Wayne Rooney starred in the victory vs Burnley but he was not in the starting XI vs Man City. The England international will probably return to the starting team tomorrow.
The Blues could only earn a single point against Burnley in the last league game and will be looking to earn all three points against the Swans.
Conte’s men are currently eight points ahead of their neatest rivals Manchester City, who will not be playing this weekend. The Sky Blues had to face Man United but the game was postponed because the Red Devils will be facing Southampton in the EFL Cup final.
As far as Chelsea’s team news is concerned, every outfield player is fit for the Italian manager. However, first choice goalie Thibaut Courtois is ill and may miss the game versus the Welsh side (PhysioRoom).
In the absence of the former Atletico Madrid goalie, expect Asmir Begovic to return to the starting lineup for the Blues.
There are no suspension concerns for Chelsea as well, hence, we can expect Antonio Conte to start with his strongest side on Saturday.
Here is Chelsea’s strongest possible 3-4-3 XI vs Swansea.
Jurgen Klopp has selected a very strong starting XI for today’s contest.
Brazlian playmaker Philippe Coutinho starts his first game for the Merseysiders since recovering from his ankle injury.
The former Inter Milan star will partner Adam Lallana in the attack behind Roberto Firmino, who leads the line today.
As far as the midfield is concerned, the likes of Hendo, Gini and Can start in the center of the park.
Defender Joel Matip has returned to the squad after Liverpool got clarification from FIFA that he could play. The former Schalke star is on the bench.
Simon Mignolet returns in place of Germn goalie Loris Karius. Nathaniel Clyne has returned to replace young Trent Alexander-Arnold in the right back position.
Here is Liverpool’s confirmed starting XI formation vs Swansea.
Klopp’s men need to find their attacking mojo again.
Next up, the Merseysiders face Swansea City and the Liverpool supporters will be hoping for a big win at Anfield against a team that is sitting at the bottom of the table.
Nathaniel Clyne has missed the last two games due to injury but the England international has a big chance of featuring (LFC) against the Welsh side and his return will be a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp.
The former Saints defender should replace young Trent Alexander-Arnold in the right back position. The likes of Lovren, Klavan and Milner should partner Clyne in the back line.
Belgian goalie Simon Mignolet has been in fantastic form since returning to the first team and he must replace Karius in the starting XI. Hendo, Can and Wijnaldum must return to start in the midfield.
As far as the attack is concerned, Coutinho provided the assist against Plymouth last night and the Brazilian international should get the nod to start his first PL game since returning from injury. The former Inter Milan star should start with Lallana and Firmino in the attack.
Here is Klopp’s strongest possible 4-3-3 XI for Liverpool vs Swansea.
