Yesterday, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that the Reds are closing in on a deal worth 8 million pounds to sign Hull City LB Andrew Robertson. The report also stated that the Merseysiders want to sign Betis star Riza Durmisi.
Hull have conceded 67 goals in 34 PL games. In all fairness, Liverpool should forget about signing the Tigers’ star, who has been weak all season at the back in a team that may end up moving to the Championship.
Instead, Klopp has to agree the signing of Durmisi who has the traits to be a hit in the Premier League. The 23-year-old Danish international is a versatile talent, who can also be deployed on the left hand side of the midfield if needed.
He joined the Spanish side last summer and has impressed in the La Liga this season. Last month, AS‘s Jose Espina heavily praised him and claimed that Riza’s style of play reminds him of Marcelo and Roberto Carlos.
Durmisi is a powerful and a pacy defender, with a brilliant left foot, which can come handy from the set piece situations.
In the current campaign, he has scored one goal and provided two assists in 23 league games for Betis, who are 15th in the table.
Riza’s contract with Real Betis will expire in 2021 and as per the provided AS link, the deal has a release clause of 20 million euros ($21.5million). In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Robertson or Durmisi?

Liverpool need to reinforce their key departments with top quality signings to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Merseysiders have been in search of a new left back since last summer and they must sign one this summer at all costs. It will be fair to say that the Reds have not had a consistent left back since the departure of legendary John Arne Riise.
Recently, we covered a report (via The Sun) claiming that Klopp is interested in signing Fulham young fullback Ryan Sessegnon. However, the German boss needs a proven quality star for that position and must look to sign someone else.
Back in January, the Anfield club were linked with a move to sign Danish international and Real Betis star Riza Durmisi (via Daily Mail). He is exactly the kind of player who has the ability to solve Liverpool’s ongoing dilemma.
The 23-year-old defender has so far impressed in his debut season in the Spanish league. Two days back, AS‘s Jose Espina heavily praised Durmisi by stating that he is short, powerful, very fast and has got a magnificent left foot.
The Spanish reporter claimed that his abilities remind of two of the best left backs to play in La Liga in the form of Roberto Carlos and Marcelo.
This season, in 21 games (all competitions), he has scored one goal and provided three assists. The Danish star can also be deployed on the left hand side of the midfield.
As per the provided AS link, Riza has a release clause of 20 million euros in his contract ($21million) and his performances have already attracted clubs. Liverpool have to revive interest this summer to secure his signature.

Liverpool desperately need to reinforce their squad before the winter transfer window closes in a few days.
Last summer, the Reds strengthened their back line by signing two central defenders in the form of Klavan and Matip.
However, they failed to sign a new left back and this season, the manager has utilized James Milner, a natural midfielder, in the LB position. The retired England international has performed well in a position he does not prefer.
The Merseysiders need a natural left back for the long term and reports suggest that Klopp is targeting a Danish star.
According to Daily Mail, Liverpool are weighing up a move to hire the services of Real Betis star Riza Durmisi. Klopp has sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old defender in the La Liga.
Riza is a versatile talent, who can effectively play anywhere on the left hand side of the field. This season, Betis have used him as a left back and also as a left midfielder. Moreover, he can be productive from set pieces as well.
Last season, in 29 league games, he scored 1 goal and provided 6 assists as Betis finished 10th. This season, he has featured in 14 games for the Spanish side and provided two assists.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Durmisi signed for Betis last summer and has a release clause of 17 million pounds ($21.3million) in his contract.

Arsenal have been busy in the winter transfer window and so far they have completed the signing of Mohamed Elneny from Basel.
The Egyptian international is a defensive midfielder and if reports are anything to go by then the Gunners are linked with a move to sign a versatile attacker in the form of Real Betis starlet Dani Ceballos.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, Arsenal are interested in luring the 19-year-old star and could take a step forward in signing the Spanish international who has a release clause of 15 million Euros in his contract.

Dani Ceballos has been utilized as an attacking midfielder, winger, secondary striker and also as a central midfielder.
Last season, in 33 league games, the youngster scored 5 goals and also provided 5 assists for the La Liga side. This season, he has only provided 1 assist in 21 games for Betis (Transfermarkt).
Arsenal already have many quality attackers in the side and they do not really need another addition in the midfield after the arrival of Elneny. The North Londoners must now focus on signing an out and out striker.

According to reports, Spurs are closing in to sign Real Betis playmaker Alvaro Vadillo who has a release clause of 24 million Euros in his contract.
The 20-year-old left winger mainly spent the last season on the sidelines with cruciate ligament injury. He featured in 7 league games in the Segunda Division last season and provided just 1 assist.
Overall, Alvaro Vadillo has played 60 times for Real Betis, scored a goal and provided 7 assists.
As per the provided link, the North Londoners were interested in signing him in the last winter transfer window as well but backed away as Betis did not want to sell him.
In all honesty, Spurs should not waste more time securing someone who will mainly be a bench warmer. Pochettino must sign a proven quality attacker to strengthen upfront.

Atletico Madrid take healthy lead for the second leg as they defeated Real betis 2-0 in the first leg of the quarter finals last night. Diego Simeone’s men cruise past Betis with early first half goals to take one step closer to the semi finals of Copa del Rey.
Thibaut Courtois, the keeper loaned from Chelsea came up with decent performance on the night to make sure that his side does not concede. The Belgian goalie diminished all the hopes of a comeback for the away side. At the half hour mark, Courtois made a fantastic double save to keep out the visitors.
Adding to his brilliant first 45 minutes performance, the former Genk goalie came up with another significant block in the opening minutes of the second period when he denied Jorge Molina’s strike to maintain the clean sheet.
On the other hand, the prolific Falcao was not going to be out of spotlight as he opened the scoring for the home side in the 11th minute.
The Colombian pounced on to a cross provided by Raul Garcia and did what he does best, blasting the ball in the net to give Atletico a deserved lead. 12 minutes later , Betis were unable to clear Mario Suarez’s free kick and Filipe Luis capitalized on the opportunity with a fantastic finish to make it 2-0.
The visitors relatively played better in the second half, controlling the ball well and keeping possession but failed to take advantage of any chance as Atletico’s defense was resilient in diffusing the opposition’s attacking threat.
Copa del Rey is perhaps Atletico’s best chance of winning silverware this season. Although they are currently 2nd in the league but Barca have a healthy lead and are getting stronger by the minute. On the other hand, retaining Europa league will be a tough task as well.
Diego Simeone will be looking to finish the job with ease in the second leg. The winner will lock horns with either Sevilla or Real Zaragoza in the last four of the competition and Atletico will be favorites to reach the final and have all the chance to lift the coveted trophy.
