The Seleccao are currently second in their group and next up, they will face arguably the weakest side of the competition, New Zealand.
The All Whites were beaten 2-0 by Russia in the opening game of the tournament and were eliminated after losing 2-1 against Mexico in the second contest.
Portugal just need a point in their final game to confirm a place in the semi finals of the competition and we can expect them to rest a few key players.
Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to start on the bench tomorrow. New Zealand will be happy with that because the star playmaker has netted 15 goals in his last 9 games for Real Madrid and Portugal.
In case you want to take a punt on who will be winning the match tomorrow, you can always look for the betting tips. Goes without saying, Portugal are favorites to earn all three points.
Expect Santos to select the likes of Nelson Semedo, Luis Neto and Jose Fonte in his starting XI vs New Zealand. Former Manchester United star Nani started on the bench vs Russia and he may return in place of Ronaldo.
Starting XI: Patricio; Neto, Semedo, Fonte, Eliseu; Gomes, Danilo, Adrien Silva, Bernardo Silva, Andre Silva; Nani

Portugal were crowned the Champions of Europe after beating France 1-0 in the final of Euro 2016 last night.
Fernando Santos’ men were solid at the back, especially in the knock out stages of the competition and even the top scoring French side could not score a goal against them.
Here are the top performers that make our Team of the Tournament. Four Real Madrid stars make the list.
Goalie
In the goal, Sporting CP star Rui Patricio gets the spot ahead of a number of goalkeepers who performed brilliantly in the competition. Patricio made some crucial saves in the KO rounds and kept the highest number of clean sheets (4) in the tournament.
Defense
As far as the defense is concerned, Real Madrid star Pepe was arguably the best defender and won the Man of the Match prize in the final.
German defender Boateng was solid at the back for the World Champions and also scored a goal, his first for the senior national side. Last but not the least, Italian defender Bonucci makes the list. The Azzurri star also scored a goal and provided an assist in the competition.
Midfield
Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey was brilliant for the Welsh side. The versatile midfielder scored a goal and provided 4 assists in the competition. Wales badly missed him in the semi-final contest against Portugal.
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos was influential for the World Champions and was mainly responsible for pulling the strings in the center of the park. Even in the defeat against France, the former Bayern Munich star effectively controlled the play from the midfield.
Attack
There were more than a few top quality performers as far as the attack is concerned, hence, we have selected five attackers in the Team of the Tournament.
Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann were brilliant for France. The West Ham star scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in the competition. On the other hand, the Atletico star finished the tournament as the top scorer with 6 goals and also provided 2 assists.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Nani provided the main firepower upfront for Portugal. The duo directly contributed in 10 goals for the Seleccao.
Lastly, the world’s most expensive player Gareth Bale makes the list. The Los Blancos star scored in every group game for Wales and was influential in the KO rounds as well.
Fernando Santos’ men finished third in their group without even winning a single game and they have now conquered Europe against all odds.
Star man Cristiano Ronaldo was stretchered off the field early on in the first half but Portugal fought hard and did the job without the skipper.
Super sub Eder scored a brilliant goal in the 108th minute of the game to seal victory for the Portuguese side.
Who will come out on top?
France have already won the competition back in 1984 and 2000. On the other hand, the Portuguese are still looking to win their first title.
Fantasy Football site Oulala have taken a detailed look at how a Portugal and France Combined XI would look based on Euro 2016 player stats in the build up to tonight’s final.
As per the provided infographic below, France dominate Portugal with seven players in the combined XI.
In the build up to the all important tie on Wednesday night, Fantasy Football site Oulala have taken a look at star players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, to see how they have compared so far at Euro 2016.
Bale has been the main man for Wales in this competition. On the other hand, Ronaldo has been far from his best for Portugal.
Still, it is the Portuguese captain who dominates his Los Blancos teammate in seven of the eight key areas analysed. The stat comparison is provided in the infographic below.
Star striker Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Poland with a precise side-foot finish in the second minute of the game.
However, 30 minutes later, Lewandowski’s new Bayern Munich teammate Renato Sanches scored his first goal for Portugal and equalized with a left-footed drive (deflected).
After the equalizer, there were not many talking points in the regulation/extra time and that meant penalties were needed to settle the tie.
Dortmund attacker Blaszczykowski was the only player to miss his spot kick and that gave Quaresma the chance to net home the winner, which he emphatically did.
The video highlights of the game are provided below. Portugal will now face either Wales or Belgium in the last four.
The two teams collided in a mundane game and it took nearly two hours for anything worthwhile to happen.
Croatia clearly wanted to avoid a penalty shootout and bombarded Portgual’s defense with waves of attack in the second half of extra time. However, they left it open at the back and paid the price.
Seconds after Perisic struck the post for Croatia, Portugal’s counter attack started by young Renato Sanches was eventually finished off by Quaresma who had the simplest task of heading the ball in the empty net.
The highlights of the game are provided below.

Portugal kick started their Euro 2016 campaign against Iceland and were considered favorites to earn all three points.
However, the Portuguese side could only earn a single point from the game. Captain and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could not hide his frustration and slammed Iceland’s small mentality (ESPN).
Iceland were well aware of Portugal’s attacking strength and decided to park the bus. However, Portugal still managed to open the scoring thanks to former Man United star Luis Nani.
Andre Gomes brilliantly set up the speedy winger for the opening goal.
Unfortunately, Fernando Santos’ side failed to hold onto the lead and Iceland managed to equalize through Bjarnason.
The FC Basel midfielder found himself in acres of space in the six yard box due to woeful defending from Portugal’s back line and had all the time in the world to slot the ball in the net.
The Portuguese side had the game in control and have only got themselves to blame for dropping points against Iceland.
Nani has been linked with a return to Old Trafford this summer but the latest reports suggest that he is heading towards Inter Milan (One World Sports)
The Red Devils supporters were absolutely delighted to see Nani scoring and reacted on twitter with mainly one message. Here are a few tweets provided below.

Superstar playmaker and skipper Cristiano Ronaldo will be the player to watch for the Portuguese side who chase their first ever European Championship title.
The Real Madrid star had another brilliant campaign with the Spanish giants and won his third Champions League title of the career.
Ronaldo netted 35 goals in the league and provided 11 assists. A strong performance at Euro 2016 can help him win the Ballon D’or prize again.
The Red Devils also needed a top quality central defender and even chased (Express) the likes of Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi.
However, the Spanish defender opted to stay with the club where as the Argentine star joined rivals Manchester City.
Metro and other media outlets cite Mirror claiming that Manchester United are ready to seal the transfer of quality Portuguese center half Paulo Oliveira by bidding 6 million pounds in the winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old Seleccao star is a key member of the Sporting CP squad and was ever present for them last season.
Pualo is solid at the back and also contributed in the attack as well. He featured in 40 games for the Primeira Liga side in the last campaign, scored 3 goals and provided an assist (Transfermarkt).
