Tottenham Hotspur splashed the cash and signed Vincent Janssen in the summer transfer window from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
The Netherlands striker was mainly signed to provide cover for main man Harry Kane but he has failed to shine at White Hart Lane so far.
In such a scenario, reports suggest that the Argentine manager is once again interested in hiring the services of Spanish international and Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez (The Sun via Mirror).
As per the provided Sun link, Spurs are considering a bid for the £15million rated star ($18.7million) in the winter transfer window and this will be the third window in a row that the North Londoners are targeting the former Barcelona forward. Will they be able to finally lure him? We shall see.
This season, the 21-year-old forward has made ten league starts for the La Liga side, scored five goals and provided one assists. He featured in 32 senior games during his time with the Catalan giants, scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Ramirez to replace Janssen?

Liverpool must reinforce their key departments in the summer transfer window if they are to have any chance of winning the Premier League title next season.
Defensive midfield is a concern for the Reds and they are looking to sign a quality star for that position. It will be fair to say that Liverpool have never been able to replace Mascherano and even Lucas is past his best now.
According to reports (Express via Marca), Liverpool have the financial power to beat Valencia and sign Malaga star Ignacio Camacho.
The Reds have been looking to sign the $23m rated (La Opinion de Malaga) Spanish international for quite some time and as per the provided Express link, Liverpool can finally sign him for just $14m because Malaga are now expected to accept the mentioned offer for the 26-year-old star.
Mirror reported last month that Spurs are also interested in signing Camacho from the La Liga side but Liverpool are pushing hard to secure his services.
This season, in 22 league appearances for Malaga, Ignacio has scored 2 goals for the club. (Picture: Getty)

Liverpool secured many attacking signings under the management of former boss Brendan Rodgers but hardly a few worked.
Spanish international Luis Alberto was one of the talented stars signed by the former Swansea boss. Rodgers claimed that Luis is like Brazilian playmaker Coutinho (Goal) when he was signed but the Ex Barcelona player never really got his chance at Anfield.
Last season, Alberto was loaned out to Malaga and spent majority of the season on the sidelines with injury. However, this season, the 23-year-old star has been fit and brilliant for the La Liga side.
In 27 league games for Malaga, Alberto has scored 6 goals and provided 6 assists as well.
The Spaniard has lately claimed (Daily Star via IBTimes UK) that he is ready to return to Liverpool after his loan spell and wants to play under the management of Jurgen Klopp.

“It is obvious that having Klopp as a manager is an extra motivation to return to Liverpool,”

The Spaniard can play anywhere in the attack and can be fruitful for the Reds. In your opinion, should Klopp give Alberto his chance at Anfield?

Liverpool are in the market for a quality defensive midfielder this summer and if reports are anything to go by then the Reds are ready to sign quality Malaga DM Ignacio Camacho.
According to reports in the British media , Liverpool and Tottenham have both been linked to sign the 25-year-old Spanish international. Now, the Merseysiders seem set to beat Spurs as they are pushing hard and are ready to pay his release clause of $14 million (Mirror).
Liverpool were linked with a move for the La Roja star back in February (Liverpool Echo) as well and they look to finally get their man in the summer transfer window.

There are two figures mentioned in the media as far as his release clause is concerned. As mentioned above, Mirror have reported a $14 million figure.
However, according to La Opinion de Malaga and as per Malaga’s sporting director Mario Husillos (Talksport), Ignacio’s release clause is worth $23 million.
This season, the defensive midfielder has played 17 games for the La Liga side and scored two goals. Liverpool star Lucas is surely past his best and it makes complete sense to sign an out and out DM to replace the Brazilian. In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Ignacio Camacho?

Manager Jurgen Klopp needs to heavily reinforce his squad in the summer transfer window if Liverpool are to challenge the best of teams and win titles.
According to reports (Liverpool Echo), Liverpool are looking to seal the signing of Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho and could move in with a 7 million pounds offer to secure his services in the summer transfer window.

However, as per La Opinion de Malaga, Camacho has a contract till 2019 with Malaga and the club will only let him leave for a fee of $22 million (release clause).
The 25-year-old Spanish star is a natural defensive midfielder. Not to forget, Liverpool’s new man Marko Grujic can play in that position and so can Emre Can. At the moment Lucas Leiva is their main DM.
Camacho was mainly injured in the first half of the season but has returned strongly. In your opinion, should Liverpool splash the cash to sign the Spaniard?

Arsenal have yet to find their rhythm in the new season and after 6 league games, they are already 6 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Gunners have loads of quality in their attack, especially in the playmaking department.
They also lured Danny Welbeck to increase the quality and depth of the strikeforce. Giroud for now remains injured but atleast now they have two senior strikers.
However, what Arsene Wenger did not do in summer transfer window was to avoid signings of key defenders as well as midfielder.
Arsenal are currently suffering because they lack depth in the defense with no experienced cover at the moment and no top holding midfielder as well.
According to reports, Arsenal are to sign Malaga left back in January for a reported sum of $4 million.
The 27 year old defender has bags of top flight experience and featured in 38 games for the La Liga side last season.
Antunes’ current contract with Malaga will expire in 2016 but since he has failed to agree a new deal, gunners are ready to jump in and secure his signing in the winter transfer window.
As far as the left back situation is concerned, Gibbs is currently active while Monreal is injured and not so long ago it was the other way around with Monreal playing and Gibbs on the sidelined.
Antunes’ record suggest he is not an injury prone star and that is something and injury hit Arsenal side desperately need.
Nevertheless, even after his capture, Arsenal will still need to sign another top center back as well as a quality defensive mid to cover all the issues.

Real Madrid new star signing Isco will wear Number 23 shirt last worn by none other that David Beckham. The former Manchester United star departed for LA Galaxy in 2007 and since then the shirt has been vacant.
Isco who lately left Malaga to join Los Blancis claims that he has chosen the number because of his brother who was born on the same date. Soccerisma provides the list of few Real Madrid players over the past years who have worn the number 23 shirt.

Guti is one of Real Madrid’s legend having served the club for 16 years and in the process won 15 titles, notably three Champions league and 5 La Liga titles. The midfielder has always been a Madridsta, played for Real Madrid (C & B) before moving up. Guti wore number 23 shirt in the start but after a season shifted to number 14. Guti left the Spanish giants in 2010 to join Turkish club Besiktas.

Spanish striker Dani Garcia was the next person to wear the number and he too got promoted from Real Madrid B squad. However for the main team, Garcia could only feature in 10 league games as he normally spent his time on loan with Zaragoza. The Spaniard departed in 1998 to join Mallorca.

One of the best strikers of the past decade could only feature in 3 league games for Real Madrid. The Cameroon international perhaps in the team at the wrong time as Los Blancos had a star-studded side while Eto’o was a new comer.
He spent 3 years on loan with three different teams (Leganes, Espanyol Mallorca) and his number 23 shirts was in between taken by Yugoslavian Perica Ognjenović. Erto’o finally departed to Mallorca in 2000 and the rest of his shining career is no mystery. He currently plays for Russian side Anzhi.

Pedro Munitis started his career with Racing Santander and served the club for more than 5 years. In 2000, The Spanish forward joined Real Madrid in 2000 and acquired number 23 shirt. He only managed to score 4 goals in 53 league appearances for Madrid and eventually was loaned back to Racing in 2002 from where he joined Deportivo.

The retired England international joined Galacticos in 2003 having played for Red Devils for a decade. Beckham wore number 7 shirt during his United days but since that was already used by Raul at Real Madrid, Becks opted for number 23 because his hero Michael Jordan used to wear that number.
He won his only major trophy with Real Madrid in his last season, La Liga in 2007 and then left for MLS side LA Galaxy.

Isco is without doubt one of the most hottest young prospects in the game right now. That is why Madrid paid a mammoth amount to sign the Spanish sensation from Malaga. Isco might be the answer to Barcelona’s star signing of Neymar and the battle between these two will be as intriguing as Ronaldo vs Messi.
The new number 23 hopes to win the La Decima in his first season with the club. Whether or not he will be able to fulfill that dream, only time will tell.

Lately Arsenal have been linked with two of the hottest young prospects of the continent, Stevan Jovetic of Fiorentina and Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez aka “Isco” of Malaga.
Fair to say both are worth more than 20-25 million easily taking into consideration the talent and quality these starlets will bring along. However, Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger are not renowned for spending heavily on transfers and that has been one of the main reasons why Gunners have gone trophy less for eight long years.
Even if they do change this habit to spend big still surely it is highly unlikely that they will sign both Isco and Jovetic. So if they do opt to sign one of them, the question is who will be the ideal choice? Whether Arsenal need the striker (Jovetic) more than the midfielder/winger (Isco) or it is the other way around?

There is no denying the fact that Arsenal have missed their prolific ex-star Robin van Persie this season. He was the main force behind Arsenal’s recovery last season and perhaps single handedly helped the Gunners achieve third place in the league despite all the early blips.
The Dutchman scored no less than 30 premier league goals last season and has left a gap that still needs to be filled at the Emirates Stadium. The addition of Olivier Giroud has proved fruitful for Arsenal but although his work rate is fantastic, his finishing is by no means world class. In his defense, it is his first season and not many can adapt to premier league that quickly still, at times last year’s Ligue 1 top scorer has squandered decent chances as well.
Jovetic, 23, has bags of experience, over 100 games for Fiorentina. The youngster has drawn interest from top European clubs over the years since he scored his first ever hatrick for Partizan at the age of 17. The Montenegrin International has scored 12 goals in 24 league appearances for La Viola this season and looks set for a new challenge after completing what will be his 5th season in Serie A. His next destination may as well be Arsenal as the forward claimed:

“I’ve always had an affinity with Arsenal. It’s a major club with a big tradition, one of the biggest in Europe.”

Whether or not he can settle well and early in the premier league is another matter but if Arsenal are looking for a top young striker this summer then Jovetic is surely one of the best options.

Isco has been a sensation this season. Since the departure of star midfielder Santi Cazorla to Arsenal, Isco has taken center stage and has been the key source of unsettling defenders for Malaga. Arsenal may look to add another Malaga player to their ranks and perhaps Isco’s ex-team mates Cazorla and Monreal can convince him as well.
Although Gunners center midfield is more complete than their forward lineup with the likes of Wilshere, Cazorla and Arteta. Still the inconsistency is there, the constant injuries to Wilshere have set back Arsenal numerous times this season. Adding to that German star Lukas Podolski has been far from his best as well.
With Isco, Arsenal can have a versatile player at their disposal. He has all the traits of a natural winger, i.e. speed, trickery, crossing. Considered by many as the “New Fabregas”, inevitably defines how good he is at passing the ball and last but not the least turns into a prolific center attacking midfielder who can open up defenses and score goals. Such abilities make him priceless but Malaga are already in financial crisis and may look to sell their star asset next summer.
If Arsenal do plan to spend big this summer and sign young, then players like Jovetic and Isco can be the key in ending the long trophy drought. However, first the gunners need to ensure Champions League qualification, only then they will be able to attract top quality stars like the ones mentioned.
Lastly, signing both Jovetic and Isco is easier said than done but the Gunner fans can always hope for that. Still if they have to choose one of them, the better option is?

Arsenal finally signed someone on the deadline day to reinforce their defense and not attack. The Gunners signed Nacho Monreal from Spanish side Malaga but failed to lure Barcelona’s David Villa.
Considering their poor outings, Arsenal needed more than one signing to increase squad depth and quality still the arrival of Nacho was more important than Villa or any other attacker. Nacho is an experienced left back with brilliant crossing ability that to support in the attack as well.
The Spanish defender is only second to compatriot Jordi Alba in the national side but he is not far away from him in terms of quality.
Arsenal fans are disappointed with the little business done in the transfer window when the funds were available. However not signing Villa is by no means a calamity. In fact Arsenal needed another defender more than a striker.
The Gunners have conceded first in their last 5 premier league games, that shows how vulnerable they are when it comes to defense. Even the experience Per Mertesacker has disappointed and captain Vermaelen has not been impressive as well.
Against Liverpool, their defensive setup made comedy of errors to allow the visitors to score twice and could have even conceded more had Liverpool finished well.
On the other hand, recently Arsenal’s attack has shown signs of massive improvement. Podolski and Giroud, who were criticized a lot are now coming to form brilliantly. Adding to that, Walcott’s level of performance has increased big time since signing a new contract last month.
The perfect example of their brilliant attack was shown in the match against Liverpool, where they bounced back from 2 goals down to complete fantastic comeback. Therefore, Wenger does not need to make many changes in the attacking trio who are in superb form right now.
As the season progresses, they will inevitably improve more. Then again, Nacho will add more firepower into attack as well and bring stability in defense that Gibbs and mainly Santos failed to provide. Hence not signing Villa should not be considered a massive disappointment, having said that Arsenal’s transfer campaign was far from convincing.
The second leg was an exciting contest. Going into the game, Barcelona knew they had to score having conceded 2 goals at Camp Nou.
The visitors started in style as they attacked Malaga constantly. Their efforts paid dividends and in the 8th minute as Pedro headed the ball in the net from a delightful cross by Dani Alves.
Having taken the lead, Barca lost concentration and Malaga took full advantage as Joaquin equalized from inside the area in 12th minute. The goal meant that Barcelona had to score again to qualify for the semifinals and they nearly did as Demichellis mistake set up Lionel Messi, but his strike was saved my Malaga’s goalie Kameni.
The scoreline remained the same as the teams went into the dressing room with the home side having the advantage. However, 4 minutes into the second half, Pique restored Barca’s lead. The Spaniard controlled a wonder ball provided by Iniesta and scored with a left footed drive to make it 2-1.
Malaga having gone behind, constantly attacked the visitors. Leo Messi missed a brilliant chance as Kameni saved again in the 68th minute and Fabregas got injured in looking to score from the rebound. Malaga on the other hand counter attacked swiftly and Roque Santa Cruz struck a brilliant low strike in the net to equalize.
Mascherano got booked for complaining about why the game was not stopped when Fabregas was lying injured. At 2-2, the game was heading to extra time with only 20 odd minutes remaining, but Barcelona were never going to stay back as they piled up pressure on Malaga’s defense and in the 76th minute Fabregas setup Iniesta who made no mistake to slot the ball home from 8 yards to make it 3-2.
The goal meant that now the home side had to score 2 more to qualify but any hopes of a comeback was blown away by Barcelona as they scored 4th of the night. Dani Alves once again provided a superb ball to Messi who easily headed the ball in the net to make it 4-2.
Barcelona will now face Los Blancos in the semifinals of Copa Del Rey much to the excitement of the supporters worldwide. Madrid will be looking to beat their rivals to somehow earn a shot at winning a Spanish title this season as they are seemingly almost out of La Liga title race.
