Having lost their last three games at Anfield, Liverpool are in a turmoil at the moment. Next up, they face league leaders Chelsea and it will not come as any surprise if the Reds lose their fourth home game on the trot.
The Merseysiders clearly lack quality and depth and need reinforcements in several key positions.
Jurgen Klopp has wasted precious time this month, he must realize that agreeing new deals with the current players will not cover the cracks or make things look positive.
As far as the transfers are concerned, the German manager has got to splash the cash and sign at least two quality players before the window closes. As per reports in Belgium, a certain Nigerian international has been in the limelight.
According to RTBF, Liverpool have set their sights on signing 19-year-old attacker Henry Onyekuru, who plays for Eupen.
This season, the teenage winger has been in brilliant form. In 25 appearances, the African starlet has directly contributed in no fewer than 18 goals (12 goals and 6 assists). He mainly plays on the left wing but can also be utilized as a center forward.
Onyekuru wants to leave the Belgian club and has gone AWOL. He was not even part of the squad when Eupen faced Standard Liege in the league last weekend.
As per the provided RTBF link, Celtic tabled a bid of €1.5million to sign him but Eupen do not want to sell him this winter and definitely not for less than €4million. The Belgian source claim that Liverpool could have the edge because Henry prefers a move to the Premier League. It must also be noted that he is an Arsenal fan and Theirry Henry is his idol.
In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Onyekuru?
