Reports suggest (via Guardian) that Alexis Sanchez is close to signing for rivals Manchester United and that would be a huge blow for Arsene Wenger.
The North Londoners must sign a quality replace and Guardian report that the deal to sign Brazilian international and Bordeaux star Malcolm is close and the Gunners are expected to agree his signing by paying a fee worth 45 million pounds ($62million).
The 20-year-old star has been in fantastic form for the Ligue 1 side this season. In 19 league appearances, he has directly contributed in 12 goals so far (7 goals and 5 assists).
Capable of playing on either flank, Malcolm has the talent to replace Alexis at Arsenal but it will be intriguing to see if he can be an immediate hit in the Premier League.
Arsenal can also qualify for next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League this season but the task will not be easy because the likes of Atletico, Napoli and Dortmund will take part in the competition as well after getting eliminated from the CL.
In all fairness, Wenger should leave the club if he fails to earn CL qualification for the Gunners.

In such a scenario, 20-year-old Brazilian attacker Malcolm is in the lime light and the latest reports going on the media will probably be liked by the Arsenal supporters.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal have entered the race for the Manchester United target, who plays for Bordeaux and the French club are willing to accept a fee worth 45 million pounds.
Yesterday, MEN reported that the Red Devils may wait till next summer to move for the Samba star and this decision could even see Malcolm moving to Arsenal.
According to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal are serious about capturing the South American star and are trying to reach agreement with his agent.
The Italian journalist has stated that the fee of the transfer would be around 50 million euros ($59.7million) but the timing of the deal depends on the departure of Sanchez, which could be this month or next summer.
Malcolm is naturally a right winger, who has so far featured in 18 league games this season and directly contributed in 11 goals (7 goals and 4 assists). In your opinion, is he good enough to replace Alexis?

Earlier this month, we covered a report (via The Times) claiming that the Red Devils are looking to bid around $40million to hire the services of the Samba playmaker.
As per the latest update provided by Daily Mail, Manchester United will pay around 33 million pounds ($44million) in order to lure Malcolm, who Mourinho believes is one of the best young prospects in the continent.
The former Corinthians winger has been in top form form the Ligue 1 side this season. He has featured in 18 league games so far, scored 7 goals and provided 4 assists as well.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, the French club are looking to get more than 50 million pounds ($67million) from the sale of their prized asset but United are not prepared to splash that sum.
Furthermore, it is stated that the Old Trafford club are planning to loan him back for the remainder of the season. Loaning him back does not make much sense because Mourinho definitely needs to improve his attack for the second half of the campaign.

As far as the transfers are concerned, MEN Sport understands that Mourinho is eager to sign a central midfielder and a winger to reinforce Manchester United’s squad.
For the attack, MEN have claimed that Jose wants to hire the services of Brazilian international and Bordeaux attacker Malcolm.
It is stated that the former Chelsea boss thinks that the 20-year-old star could provide the missing piece in United’s offense.
Last weekend, the Times came up with a report and claimed the Red Devils are considering an offer for the £26million Brazilian star ($34.7million).
The Samba attacker has been in fantastic form for the Ligue 1 side this season. In all competitions, he has directly contributed in 12 goals so far (7 goals and 5 assists) in 18 starts.
Malcolm naturally plays on the right wing, so if he joins the Old Trafford club then we can expect him to replace Lingard in the starting XI under Mourinho.

According to The Times, Manchester United are weighing up an offer that could be close to 30 million pounds ($40million) to hire the services of Bordeaux star Malcolm.
The South American attacker can play anywhere in the attacking third but naturally, he is a left-footed right winger.
Also Read: Mou Goes on Attack – Man Utd Ready to Sign $59million Star
In the current campaign, the 20-year-old star has been in fantastic form for the Ligue 1 side. In 17 starts (all competitions), Malcolm has directly contributed in no fewer than 12 goals (7 goals and 5 assists).
This season, Mourinho has utilized the likes of Mata, Lingard, Rashford and Martial in the wide positions but the Portuguese manager needs more quality and depth in the team to battle Manchester City, who are unstoppable at the moment.
Before joining Bordeaux, Malcolm used to impress for Brazilian side Cortinthians. Will he be a hit in the Premier League if he joins Manchester United? Only time will tell.

Moreover, the Red Devils are looking to reinforce the quality of their squad by signing young talented starlets in the summer transfer window and a certain French international is in the lime light.
According to Daily Mirror, Man United have already moved in and made contact to sign teenage versatile playmaker Adam Ounas who currently plays for Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.
The 19-year-old Les Bleus attacker can play anywhere in the attacking third. He has been effectively utilized on either flank, as a central attacking midfielder and also as a center forward when needed.
Last season, Adam featured in 30 games for the French side, scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.
As per the provided Mirror link, United have made inquiries to lure the talented youngster but will probably have to splash a huge sum to hire his services.
Not to forget, United spent a mammoth sum to lure France’s Anthony Martial to Old Trafford from AS Monaco last summer. Will they do the same for Ounas? We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds.
In your opinion, should Man United sign Adam Ounas?

Benteke starts as the lone striker upfront with Firmino, Ibe and Milner in the attack behind the Belgian forward.
Lucas and Allen start in the midfield with Can on the bench. Martin Skrtel is also on the bench, he has been replaced by Kolo Toure.
The Merseysiders were impressive against Manchester City last weekend and should be confident of earning all three points versus the Ligue 1 team.
As far as the team news is concerned, Liverpool have more than a few injury concerns but still have a quality squad to see off the challenge of Bordeaux.

Martin Skrtel will be out (Liverpool Echo) due to illness and it is highly likely that Ivorian Kolo Toure will replace the Slovakian center back in the starting XI.
Joe Allen will probably return to partner Lucas Leiva in the midfield. The Brazilian DM is suspended for the next PL game against Swansea.
As per the provided Liverpool Echo link, Sturridge is in contention to start tomorrow’s game but it will not come as a surprise if Benteke is given the nod ahead of the England international. Here is Liverpool’s probable 4-2-3-1 starting XI vs Bordeaux.
The Reds rested more than a few first team players for the contest and played an absolute mundane game on the night.
Kolo Toure started alongside Mamadou Sakho in the central defense but the Ivorian defender was forced to leave the field after 28 minutes due to injury. The former Arsenal star was replaced by Chirivella.
In attack, the chief architect was none other than superstar Brazilian playmaker Phil Coutinho who came the closest with a thunderous strike late in the first half. England international Adam Lallana returned from injury and played full 90 minutes.
The former Southampton star had more than a few decent chances to score but he wasted them. Fortunately, in the 65th minute, Adam eventually scored to give Liverpool the lead. However, once again poor defending cost the Reds and Jussie equalized nine minutes from time for Bordeaux.
Here are Liverpool player ratings against Bordeaux.
