Next up, the Gunners will face MLS All-Stars on 29th July. Expect manager Arsene Wenger to make more than a few changes in the starting XI that played in the last game.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started on the bench vs Lens and came on to score the crucial goal in the 81st minute of the game. The England international will probably get the nod to start in the attack.
Ox may start with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Joel Campbell in the attacking midfield behind lone striker Chuba Akpom.
Coquelin might be replaced by Bielik in the central midfield. He may partner Elneny in the center of the park. Gibbs will probably replace Monreal in the defense.
Here is Arsenal’s probable 4-2-3-1 XI vs MLS All-Stars.

It seems that a particular topic of debate just won’t go away during the transfer season i.e. Transfer fees.
To begin with, there was the extraordinary £49m that Manchester City paid Liverpool for Raheem Sterling in July. City followed that up by breaking their transfer record for the second time in a matter of months when Kevin De Bruyne signed from Wolfsburg for a reported £55m. Over £100 million for two players.
Ok. Money in football isn’t a new thing. Inflated transfer fees have been around for a long time. But can they ever be justified? Do clubs and their owners really need to go out and spend tens of millions on just one player?
This summer has seen a mix of older, experienced players and upcoming younger talents move club for free.. for no cost.. for nothing. So many so, that it’s possible to form an entire squad that would arguably be good enough to compete at the very highest level.
Steven Gerrard and Andrea Pirlo moved to MLS sides LA Galaxy and New York City. Barcelona’s Xavi opted to join Qatar side Al-Gadd, while Robinho made a surprise switch from AC Milan to Chinese outfit GZ Evergrande.
Liverpool were the most active English side in the free transfer market as two left Anfield in the form of Gerrard and right-back Glen Johnson, the former staying in the Premier League, joining Stoke City. Coming in were James Milner from Manchester City and Burnley’s Danny Ings.
Manchester City allowed both Milner and Micah Richards to move on, the latter switching to Aston Villa.
City’s neighbours, Manchester United, brought in Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero from Samporia while midfielder Tom Cleverley joined Everton after a short loan spell at Aston Villa.
You don’t need to be Sheikh Mansour or Roman Abramovich to build your fantasy football dream team, spending hundreds of millions in the process. You can do it on a shoestring. Well, actually less than a shoestring.
We’ve compiled a squad of 23 players. It includes their former club alongside their new club or in Ron Vlaar’s case, still without a club. Their current market values as provided by Transfermarkt, ages, preferred positions and the alternative positions they can play.
Remember, this entire squad costs nothing!

Over the years we have seen Thierry Henry score many classic and memorable goals for Arsenal. Nearing 36 now, the Frenchman still has it. Infact, the Arsenal legend is never going to lose that class.

Since joining MLS, Henry has scored many screamers for New York Red Bulls and once again he rolled back the years scoring a brace against Montreal which included a spectacular over-head kick that has wowed the footballing world again. His 5th goal of the campaign that eventually ensured the victory last night.

Have a look at that stunning goal:

You see such goals and know why Arsenal fans still cry for Thierry Henry’s return every year despite growing age of the veteran star.

There is no denying that Henry can still play at the highest level like David Beckham is doing. Sadly another return to premier league or Europe is highly unlikely but one thing is for sure. That is not the last time we are witnessing a really special goal scored by Henry.
