This is a no brainer. Grass is Alison's best surface if you ask me, there may be a different opinion on this subject but I am adamant that her game is perfect for grass. However, her game is only to beat average players like herself. Obviously have to back Bencic here. She is better overall player and can also play on grass courts, no problems there as she's a former Wimbledon junior champion.

As for Ali, I think she is having a bit of post French Open hangover which is understandable. Struggled against Rodina in the first round. Bencic has more attacking options that the Russian, so I expect Van Uytvanck to stumble here.

Haas played his first match since Roland Garros 2014 on Tuesday and did quite well to my surprise. Although it has to be said that Kukushkin can't be rated as a proper test because everyone knows that he likes to throw away matches.

Anyway, the real issues here is that Tommy is 37 years old, he admitted being rusty and although he will have a day off between his matches one must wonder will he have enough in the tank for 2 competitive matches after such a long break. Tomic is quite good on grass courts and at 1.80ish is no-brainer knowing all the facts.
