Sorry, that would be pathetic when all of our rivals have spent around £150m each. We only just got fourth spot last year but United and Arsenal have spent a lot of money so are we headed to fifth or sixth spot next year? Seemingly, the money men at Anfield have won the day. We have more money than we know what to do with – with another £90m coming when Coutinho leaves – yet the accountants are going to be the only happy people as we struggle without the central defender, defensive midfielder and striker we’ve needed for years. Not happy!
