Yet again, thanks PHIL. That was succinct. Until docile and luckwarm fans lacking ambitions get tired of Liverpool's mediocre status, LFC won't make any progress. They seem content with Liverpool just playing in the EPL and wishing it would just stumble in EPL title and champions league spot by luck. If klopp were to be in City, Man U or Chelsea, he would have been long gone and the ineffective board sacked, all as a result of fans protests. I think old British pensioner fans of Liverpool who still relish old glories of the seventies and eighties need to give way for young, vibrant and ambitious fans as they were in Chelsea , United and City.

Four goals and four assists in 24 games is not impressive yet when we are scouring the lower reaches of the Championship for Helder Costa - whilst United have arranged the £85m signing of Griezmann - should LFC fans have any expectations of future signings costing more than buttons?
Yet again we seem to be trying to find bargains in the Pound Shop whilst the other top clubs rampage through to top talent in Europe and the known world.
I can see Lucas regularly playing next year, alongside Lovren, with Milner still playing at left-back and with Henderson still trying to look the part as a defensive midfielder. No doubt Mignolet will still be between the sticks as well.
I keep reading that we are interested in versatile players! Why versatile? Eleven top, top players in their rightful positions must be better than any number of players who can 'do a job' anywhere around the pitch without looking brilliant anywhere. look at how this versatility is doing at the moment with Milner struggling at left-back, Lucas hopeless at centre back, Henderson not doing too well as a defensive midfielder and with Firmino proving week after week that he is NOT a striker!
If our ambitions only stretch to this Pound Shop mentality then forget Europe for many years to come.
