Okorosha,
Wages - is the answer to your question.
All these UCL level players in the Arsenal side can double their salaries elsewhere. Chelsea pay their stars hefty wages and that is one of the main reasons they stayed. Manchester United paid huge salaries to Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Zlatan to join without CL football. Arsenal are not even paying what Alexis deserves. There is a difference between excellent and world class players. Also, Coutinho signed a new deal and Firmino and Mane got huge wage jumps when they joined. Same with Kante who earned 40k a week with the Foxes and now earns over 120k a week.

Your opening sentence in this post is that a good number of Arsenal stars will leave the if the club fails to qualify for the champions league. Why does the media often think this way about Arsenal. It is somewhat irritating. When Chelsea failed to qualify last season none of their star players left the club. Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Willian, just to name a few, all remained to rebuild and achieve the success they're having today. The club hierarchy only identified the problem, the manager, rectified it and moved on with great intent and determination. Could Arsenal do the same? The other side of this faulty view is that the better players would not join Arsenal if they fail to qualify for the UCL. This is ridiculous because it sounds as if football is played just to be in the UCL for a season. I'm aware that Liverpool have hardly qualified for this competition, yet they boast of excellent players like Firmino, Coutinho and Sadio Mane. I note that Kante, who's regarded as the best central midfielder in the EPL currently joined Chelsea from the champions, Leicester City, when Chelsea are not playing in the UCL. Why are Arsenal cases always different?
