With the quality that he has, I think he has to take a look at himself and see why he could not break into the first teams of Bayern and Dortmunt. But to me it will be a risk buy.]]></description>

Coming to a league in which the pace is even greater than in Germany would stretch somebody playing well so to ask somebody who can&#039;t get in to a German team to come here and suddenly reverse two whole years of decline and poor play is quite some ask.  If it worked he&#039;d be a superb buy but I&#039;d want to get him for less than £20m - on the basis of his recent form and not his initial, hugely impressive form of two years ago - which would not be a huge loss if it went pear-shaped and we then needed to sell him back to Germany for £15m.]]></description>
