RED PHIL. You just put up a masterpiece as usual. Kudos! I have always maintained that klopp is overrated. Mane has been the difference at Liverpool, just as Suarez was to clueless Rodgers. Those players can make any coach shine. Klopp definitely lacks game changing tactics and it's evident in how he's unable to effect proper changes when his plan go otherwise. He keeps horrible players in play for too long when it's evident they are deficits on the field of play. What world class coach makes Can and Lovren starters in their team? What quality coach retains Lucas as DM, or uses him as CB , when he's even horrible playing his preferred DM? Is it even logical to go for a stoke city level goalie when you're competing with Chelsea, Arsenal, United and Tottenham, all of which have world class keepers? I think klopp is definitely a good motivator, and not as tactically sound as we think. I know many liverpool fans will disagree and they are the reason Liverpool has been abysmal for a very long time. If klopp were to be in Chelsea or United, their fans would have called for his ouster for smiling and laughing after three disgraceful results cos they are always hungry for honours, not chasing top four football every year!

Just what we need . . . another young player nobody has heard of and with no experience whatsoever of English football! Let's ignore the well-documented problems we have and go for another investment. Let's not sign a decent keeper, a good LB, a CB who can dominate his area, a defensive midfielder who knows the ropes, a winger who can add some width to this mess of a team or a striker who can put the ball in the net more than once every eight or nine games! Mind you, we can always pretend that, after ten years of, at best, mediocrity and, normally, something worse than that, Lucas just might become good!
We can buy a young, untried striker and then hope Moreno learns about positioning from him, Wijnaldum learns how not to be invisible from him and Lovren learns, well, everything, from him! or, of course we could ask our manager to pay the last four weeks' pay to a local charity - about £880,000 in total - as this club has been a disgrace for that period and he shows no sign of being able to stop the decline. One more interview with him smiling and laughing, whilst our season implodes, and my foot goes through the TV screen! The honeymoon period is now over - as is our season - so let's see IF he has any other tactics he could turn to . . . and preferably without Lucas, Moreno, Lovren or Wijnaldum being in the team?
