Chelsea needs Van Dijk for options ,Fatique ,Preparation for Champions league Competition ,Cards Injuries n to have A deep n Balanced Team . A team shd have 8 defenders n Chelsea are handicapped A Left footed Centre Back like Ayemeric Laporte would have been ideal .Terry n Ivanovic are Virtually on their way out .If Chelsea don’t get Van Dijk now we should forget about him on summer

I definitely agree with Andrew because the potential of Chris, Zouma and Ake is really huge there for we shouldn’t waste Oscar’s money on another defender rather think about integrating those three into this tried tested and working formation of Conte.

I don’t think for now Chelsea need van Dijk .we already have zouma at our disposal who can do that work needed at defence. what we need is attacking and defensive minded player like Vidal or verrati.sign them noooooowwwwwwwwww.

A quality team life Chelsea needs a quality player and Virgil van Dijk is one. So, with the back three atimes do check in the position of Cahi, Chelsea needs the Dutch International.

Van Dijk is not worth £55m. Not disputing his quality though. He is overpriced. £35m should be enough to get him. Anything more than that Chelsea should just wait till the summer and bring back Christensen who in my opinion is a better defender than Van Dijk. Zouma will fill that role for now. The trio of Christensen, Zouma & Ake are the future of Chelsea FC back three. Not forgetting the versatile Azplicueta. When Terry, Ivanovic and Cahill eventually move on. Chelsea is well covered in defence. Thanks to the loan system and a coach that believes in youth. Oscar windfall should be used to acquire an attacking midfielder who posses strong defensive quality. Veratti or Vidal will do just fine. Both are upgrades on Oscar.
