If we are working on the theory that if we have every midfielder in the known world so nobody else can field a decent midfield then, yes, go get him, but if we are living in the REAL world we seem to be more in need of a defensive midfielder, a LB and a striker capable of playing in more than 20 games per year.
Almost certainly a superb player but if we are to get him shouldn't we have done that before buying several other players for more-or-less the same position? And with all these new midfielders are we finally going to get rid of one or two of the ones who have been here for a while? I see that Lucas is still here, Milner is being looked upon as a fall-back full-back (how stupid is that?) and Henderson is still, after several years, failing to make me think he is LFC material.
When those three go I'll begin to feel optimistic but not until then! Until then we are overloaded with midfielders . . .
