Don't worry duke. Rumours are rife that Klopp is persuading Carragher to return... as a striker. Klopp had been watching videos after videos of Carra's numerous own goals and he is adamant that the retired player has a natural knack of finding the back of the net.

The striker issue, it really alarms me a lot where by all our three striker are in most cases affected with injuries. The holding midfielder we supposedly have is on Galatasaray radar, it will be a pity if we lose Lucas can as well play as a defensive cover.

I know it's not a league game but with Sturridge's fitness already causing us headaches, with Origi not fit and Ings as our only recognised striker am I alone in wondering how we are going to cope this season when it comes to scoring goals?
I go back to when Sir Rodger Hunt used to play fifty games a year, every year, and was never injured. We've now got a main striker who is injured BEFORE he kicks a ball in a proper game and who has a shocking injury record in recent years. If that is the way forward then I give up! If we are to rely on his goals this year I hope he scores a lot of goals in the fifteen games he's likely to play!
Apparently, we've started this summer with a big war chest of money and supposedly spent about £62m. When you consider that we could be taking in £100m - if Benteke and a few others leave - it could leave us almost forty million quid in profit, over the summer period, but with a strike force that will more than likely fail us it is absurd.
Our obsession with signing midfielders, when we all can see that we need a new striker, a defensive-minded midfielder of top, top quality and a Left Back, is driving me nuts.
Mane, Firmino and Coutinho sound brilliant on paper - as an attacking midfield three - but who is going to regularly put the ball in the net from the chances those three help create?
And no, Mr Klopp, signing another couple of midfielders ain't gonna solve that problem!
