We might see Costa and Batshuayi as the strikers, then Hazard, Kante Fabregas, Willian, across the middle, and then in defense Dave, (Terry’s replacement) Cahill, Ivanovic, and Courtois in goal. Given that Terry is on a one year contract, it is obvious that he will not feature as much as he has done in the past, and that his playing days are numbered. My thinking is Conte will be bringing in a central defender before the season starts as Terry’s natural replacement to bed into the team for the future.

Fabregas is creative , Kante is more in the Makelele mould. Strong , combative, covers the grouind. The two could easily complement each other. If Kante replaces anyone it would be Matic who was very poor last season.
