Van Gaal wasted a lot of money on Di Maria sold him at a loss after one season and did not use him effectively or often enough. He now thrives with PSG, that says a lot about van Gaal and his ability as a manager today. His days are far behind and his methods and management style not good enough for United. Giggs has not benefited from being with a quality experienced manager which has been another waste of time to add to van Gaal’s ineffectual management.
