starting Rooney in this encounter is suicidal and warranting Everton with an outright victory. Fellain should partner Mata just behind Martial.
Be reminded that the best way of defending is attacking thereby forcing the opposite numbers to make mistakes in their own territory.
Above all, LvG MUST tell the boys to counter-attack as opposed to the recently developed philosophy of snail-pace-passing cum sluggish and flowerly football.

Interesting but this is not the answer. I really do think that Mata and Herrera must play in a united team but the question is always are they to be distributed. To work this out we must first decide which players need to be dropped from the first team squad. It is obvious to all who know and watch the beautiful game that united’s problem is really with the men in the attacking positions who presently have no structure or rhythm. United’s attackers have:
(1) a lack of discipline, commitment and unified application when the ball is lost
(2) a lack of movement, intricate passing, transition, imagination and creativity in the final third.
The 2nd point is the most worrying for me because the team look like they have never trained on the offensive side of the game. As soon as the team is on the attack they appear to lose their ability to reason, to THINK , to create space for themselves and for others, and must importantly to move with DEADLY purpose. Why is there no fluidity to their attack…have they forgot how? It is in the attacking area’s the changes must happen and with cruel swiftness. The two players who should not be in the team are the Undroppable Rooney and inconsistent Wonder Kid, Depay. Did we really have to get rid of De Maria after a year of service? Not many players flourish in their first year. Anyway, what is done is done and we must now look forward even if it means asking our Captain to play with the reserves till he gets his sharpness back. Rooney is so out of his game that it is sad to watch. Allowing him to get some match rhythm by playing with the reserves is not an insult but a kindness. Depay I am afraid is suffering too. It would be wise to bring in Young for Depay and Wilson for Rooney. Defensively I would move Blind to the left wing and bring Jones into CM. In relation to the formation shown here I would play a 4-1-4-1 formation I would consider dropping Carrick and bringing in Valancia and have Young or Wilson in for Rooney playing on the left

This game is a title decider. If we win this one the the title will be ours this season, but the following should be done thus in defence Jones and Smalling central left Blind and Valencia on the right, While the mid field it should be Carrick and Shneilderlin defending midfielders while Herera attacking midfielder and then Depay and Mata on their usual sides lastly Rooney and Martial strikers
