The last sentence here is what is wrong with the thinking – why shouldn’t we go after Neymar and Bale? These guys are ‘professional’ footballers, very few of them are with their clubs because of any special allegiance. According to Forbes, we are the 3rd richest club (not owners) in the world, behind Real and Barca. They have 6 world class strikers between them and some of us moan because we didn’t snap up their left-overs (Pedro). We are currently in a stronger financial position than either of those two, so why should we poach from them as they have done from us for years?
Good luck to LVG in trying to sign players who match the profile of MANCHESTER UNITED!
