McCarthy is no improvement on Mason. Most of his passes go backwards and he goes missing in matches like for the ROI v Scotland a few weeks ago. An average player to say the least.

We clearly need miralles. Neither townsend nor lamela have had any sort of consistent impact. Id sell townsend for 15 mill tomorrow if the speculation is true.In CM the same can be said of Dembele and is Mason really the long term answer? Is Mccarthy the answer either? I’m not so sure but he is an excellent passer of a football and he has the engine and ability to bring it to the next level. They’d both be an improvement on the current players.
