I agree we need a Sandro or Parker type in midfield. Benteke. And mason far too light. They should have given Stambouli more play time and I was a dan of Capoue. These guys missed out a chance to settle because we had too many other midfielders.

Ask any Spurs fan whether Giannelli Imbula is coming to WHL, chances are the response will probably be, "are we signing him or what?"
One minute it was totally doable, the next the idea has been abandoned, owning to attention being switched to Monaco's Anthony Martial. Okay, a striker is needed up front, but based on comments made by Mauricio Ponchettino, defence and central defence were the main priority. It follows then, does it not, then energies are channelled in this area of the squad first. I grow confused by the strategy adopted by Spurs in bringing in new talent, as there appears to be a more gung-ho approach than an actual strategy.
I saw in another report that the Spurs head coach may only be looking to bring in possibly 3 or 4 players in order to complete their rebuild, together with players exiting, resulting in a smaller squad. Briefly, putting stats aside, the paying fans only wish to know one thing - have Spurs brought in all the new players required to challenge for a top four finish next season.
Mauricio Ponchettino must get it right during this transfer window, or else he may run the risk of shopping for a new club himself.
