I would like to keep big petr alongside courtois every day, but it’s almost impossible to keep the 2nd & 3rd best goalkeeper in the world competing for only one spot in the squad while absolutely both deserves a place in the starting Xl rather than warming the bench . with cech (32+) we’ve a legend. with courtois (23) we’ve got the future… so selling cech isn’t a mistake wherever the destination is due to the respect he deserves from the board for his long serving factor at chelsea. they respect his decision!

Mourinho believes chech is surplus to requirements and sees no reasons for keeping him. It may come back to hurt him especially if cortouis dips in form.
