Buy em young, use them, sell for a profit that covers buying and wage bill. It's the Spurs way. Even with a new stadium we will be miles behind the top clubs with their fake commercial income. Trouble with buying older more expensive players is you end up with Soldado, Kaboul, and Adebeyor. May just as well buy in 3 £10m players young enough to improve than 1 £30m player that might fall apart. Out of my the 3 one will likely cover the costs of the other 2.
Anyone thinking Levey can go buy a team like Chelsea and City have done is dreaming.
Inge would be a good addition to a squad crying out for at least 2 strikers

What you have to ask yourself is will the likes of Wimmer, Trippier and Ings bring us the extra twelve or so points needed for qualification to C L. While these are promising young players who would help us consolidate our present position they will take time to reach their full potential whatever that might be, by which time our best players will have moved on in search of CL football so perpetuating this seemingly endless 'transition' period. Now that the FFP regulations look like being relaxed again we can hope for a multi billionaire benefactor to propel us into contention but other than that I don't envisage any progress at least until the new stadium is delivered.
