I think LVG intended sticking with Carrick and going for Strootman in the January window when clear of injury,but the injury to Carrick changes all that and he should go all out for Vidal !

In reply to Markfromcark. If Vidal does not want to come then United need to go after Schweinsteiger or Strootman or even William Carvalho if needed. It's well clear that van Gaal means buisiness at Old Trafford by his body language. Those targets you mentioned are realistic targets but we need a back up plan, if not Hummels then Vlaar, if not Reus then Griezzman, De Vrij will probably come cause he's turned down a move to lazio, if not Vidal go for his teammate,not Pogba, but Marchisio he's the exact same quality as Vidal and costs less.

I don’t think LVG will learn anything in USA that we don’t already know. So we need the likes of Vidal, Reus, Hummels and DeVrij ASAP. It’s time to dump some of the deadwood, who are only at OT to collect their inflated wage packets.
