I gues then that you mean Giroud is not a striker. If i understand his role is to hold player and anoyjer striker should bury it in the net.
Too true, we should buy a good striker who can turn and shoot, dribble, run. I have not seen any of these qualities in Giroud.

If we are going to use him as a stand-up/hold-off striker then other people have to fill the space he creates by drawing two to three defenders. I had hoped that Ox playing deep would fill that void – but all he did was turn over the ball against Chelsea. The question is, who are we going to get to take Giroud’s place – Morata? Mandzucic? Walcott? The primary need is a true holding midfielder – a la Viera (good luck – only Man City has one of those) and a solid center attacking midfielder that doesn’t disappear every other week. Giroud is not big team material.This is the first time i will see a upfront striker backing the opposition net and doing a one touch on the ball to his team mate.Also,he loose the ball so easy.Whenever ball goes to him i loose hope and i no nothing big cannot come out of it.He did not even know his job as a front man,goal manchine.I will even always salute him if he can try shooting the ball at the back of the net for just 3 times in a game.
