Our team has definitely improved from last season, however, we have thus far not faced the sternest tests in the EPL. Last night was really the first occasion we have faced a team with true quality and we seemed somewhat at a loss to generate our normal fast paced play. Where was the new found ability to fetch lost balls back from the opposition, ( Barca style), the pressing on opposition players? The Boss ascribes this to fatigue and naivety, however, is it not his job to identify this prior to such important games? It is worrying to me to also hear the boss say that he does not see the need to become too involved in the transfer market in January. Last night I think we could clearly see that our team definitely require more world class players, especially up front, in the central defence, holding midfield and goal keeping positions. Why Gnabry was not used from the start in stead of Wilshire is a mystery to me. Wilshire is NOT and will never be a wing.
