Team selection and discipline is what is eating us.why could the defenders be competing with midfielders and strikers at the dying moments of the games?Most of the time Iva,Luiz and Cahill were caught offguards.Lampard could be seen running around waiting for free kicks and penalties to take.Hazzard could be displaying his trickery while looking for Oscar and not who best placed to score.Etoo too engrossed to score a debut goal putting himself under pressure unnecessarily.What we need is our players to stay calm,discipline and ofcourse luck.

For Mou to succeed he must stop the Favoritism! Lampard is the major cause of our problem this season! Benitez, di matteo detected this problem last 2 season and lampard-terry were only used for less crucial games! Without lampard and terry last season we did not only defeated manU but took possesion as well unlike this season were lampard -terry presence mounts unnecessary pressure on the team! He is good at scoring goals but please in that position we need people who can tackle as well as link the defence to attack! All lampard does is to run forward in search of goals and can’t link the defence to the attacking midfielders which inturn forces luiz,cole,iva to run out of there positions just to do lampard’s job therefore making us vulnerable at the back when countered! Mou watch our last season games please

As for me, I don’t even know if Mouriho has come to build or destroy,,, What the hell is JUAN MATA siting on the bench doing??? Please If there’s any way MATA offended Jose Mourinho, i suggest jose Mou. should forgive we the Chelsea Fans Pleazz…. We really missed JUAN MATA.. No MATA No Passing, No MATA No HAPPINESS, NO MATA NO ROMAN, WITHOUT MATA THERE WILL BE NO GOAL, WITH NO MATA THERE WILL BE NO CHELSEA… WITHOUT SOME ONE LIKE MATA CONTROLING THE MIDFIED, ALL OF THE PLAYERS ARE PLAYING RUBISH… JUAN MATA is the very BEST… Mourinho should get it, He is too proud of himself… Please ROMAN ABRAMOVICH should talk some sences into mourinho’s head before it’s to let… Jose Mourinho is hurting we the Fans too much in his opinion by droping MATA on the bench!!!!!

I think I agree with wot everybody ve said concerning d problem of chelsea n I still support d fact dat our problem is nt all about buying a world class striker coz b4 dose player were rating world best dey raise under one club den we go dere n bring dem after all it bring disaster to our club, luk at beteke who knws him b4 bt when it start scoring chelsea want to buy which is a shame to us, even if we use a dead striker n get d ball very well I think e will score bt at chelsea everybody want to score no pass noting.pls morhino bring bk Mata to d full 90min u can use hazard as a susbstitute to oder players an leave torress

I agree with the article. Striker and defensive midfielder are the two areas of weakness and this has been the case for the last 2-3 seasons. I actually think a world class defensive midfielder (not too many around) would help the strikers and may negate the need to sign another. Due to our struggles to get and hold the ball in the middle of the pitch, our talented attacking midfielders cannot impose themselves on the game. Gone are the days when our sheer physical strength together with skill in the middle of the park gave us the upper hand against teams like Barcelona and Arsenal. Maybe people are now appreciating what players like Makalele, Ballack and Essien brought to the team even when they weren’t doing the spectacular. Unlike many, I feel for Torres. He largely fed on scraps in his first season and a half. Drogba was able to do that but Torres is different type of player. It is no surprise that when a genuine chances come his way now, he struggles. Self doubt must have entered his mind and at that level if that happens, you’re finished.
