Agree fully. All the nay-sayers last year were talking like the sky was going to fall if Spurs got rid of Modric — and the club only ended up 33 million the richer and largely unaffected. Wish Gareth the best — as he’s always wanted to play overseas, eventually — take the 80 million, use 30 of it for two great strikers and make a big down-payment on the stadium.

Aren’t you running on a little? Last week Bale was talking of what WE need to do at Spurs next season, and that was hailed as his clearest hint yet that he is staying. Now, because his agent has flapped his mouth about how he would be “honoured” to talk to Real, you’re talking as if Bale is already there. The agent may be trying to get a better offer out of Daniel Levy but as we know, whatever happens he’ll do well out of it so don’t do his job for him.

I agree to most of the comments that have been posted.
But untill we get our new stadia built we have no chance of levy spending the cash,i can see bale being sold for this reason alone and again buying cheap and getting by again and again again again lol.
Levy is a business man he is out to make money not have a loss. THFC is a business.
What we need is somebody to come in with loads of money to do all for us.

Selling him would be retarded, we don’t have champions league next year so if we sell one of the only reasons anyone would want to come to the club this summer, it doesn’t matter how much money we get we won’t get the same quality players in. Levy just needs to pull his finger out just this one time get 2 class strikers a playmaker and maybe a left back and we’re sorted (I think) you need to spend money to make money, if we bought a striker for £20 mill we would be £30 mill up now from champions league money and all the other perks that come with it. Simple no?

We could do the same as we always do and turn a profit on Bale. Yes we’ll probably buy a stunner that everyone will want at the end of next season but lets change the habit of a life time, stop being a feeder club hold on to our best players and compete with Europe’s finest.
Selling bale would make us 50mil but a good run in the champions league will net us a good mount of that. Missing out on Champions league football lost us 35mil so two seasons in the top 4 covers the loss of not selling Bale and earns us much more in terms of shirt sales, international players and a growing global market, remember Levy wants a new stadium, thats how Arsenal paid for theirs. Lets stop being nearly men and achieve some glory as well as some pounds!

can just here this scenario last year sell modric invest the money ,yeh well didnt work again did it ,50m worth brought into the club sold 125m yet again Levy making a luvly profit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
