Before Spurs’s win at the Britannia today Arsenal were hot favourites for that remaining CL place but now it’s very much more uncertain. Spurs will be expected to beat Sunderland at White Hart Lane which would leave Arsenal needing two wins out of two. Martinez has far more class than pitiful Pardew and will prepare his team for what could be one of the key games of the season.

Boo hoo, you may have lost two ‘world class’ players last summer but we’ve been unfortunate enough to experience that for the last four years and we’re still standing. Also, remind me when exactly Kaboul and Sandro become ‘first choice’ over Vertonghen and Dembele/Parker – and how can you possibly not regard Adebayor and Defoe as recognised strikers? That’s two by my count. It’s true you’re not having a bad season by your standards but we’re having a poor one by our’s and it’s still this close – I think that says more about the gulf between the sides than anything.
