Arsenal have Made Move to Sign €50million Defender

As far as the transfers are concerned, the North Londoners need to splash the cash to reinforce the team in the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to a report covered by Spanish source Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are one of the clubs who have made a move to sign young Dutch center half Matthijs de Ligt, who is valued at 50 million euros by Ajax.

The Gunners do need a strong center half to strengthen their back line. In the last game, Wenger opted to use Monreal, a natural left back, in the central defense with Koscielny.
Mustafi has been injury prone this season and Per Mertesacker is clearly past his best wil retire at the end of the season.
The teenage Netherlands international is already a regular starter for the Eredivisie side and has featured in 20 games this season.
As per the provided Mundo Deportivo link, the likes of Dortmund, Barca, Juve, Man City and Man United also want to sign the 18-year-old starlet. Therefore, Wenger must act swiftly if he wants Matthijs at the Emirates.
