Not Bale – Man United Must Sign Dembele from Dortmund

Manchester United have been trying to sign a wide player all summer long but so far, they have not been able to achieve this objective.
Earlier in the day, we covered a report (via Independent) claiming that Mourinho has turned his attention towards signing Danny Rose because it looks highly unlikely that the likes of Bale and Perisic.
The bad news for United is that as per ES, Tottenham Hotspur are in no mood of selling the 27-year-old England international. So, United can forget about luring him as well.

In my opinion, United do not need Rose when they have players like Shaw, Rojo, Blind and Darmian who can operate in the LB & LWB positions. Also, United do not need to sign Bale (28), who might be past his best and was injury prone last season.
Instead, the Old Trafford club have to agree the signing of one of the best young attacking stars in the world in the form of Ousmane Dembele, who is rated over €100million as per Dortmund CEO Watzke (Goal).
The French international is just 20 and will be a much better investment than Bale who is also going to cost around €100million (Marca)
Like Gareth, Dembele is also a super quick playmaker who can play on both flanks. However, unlike Bale, the former Rennes star is a quality dribbler and can maneuver the ball with both feet.
Last season, Ousmane started 22 league games for the Bundesliga side and directly contributed in 19 goals (6 goals and 13 assists). Overall, he played 49 games, scored 10 goals and provided now fewer than 21 assists.
In your opinion, should Man Utd sign Bale or Dembele?

Its a no brainer. Don’t even think about it. Get Dembele & Fabinho

Agree totally between Bale and Dembele – certainly Dembele is the better deal. Not sure about Fabinho though. I put him in the same class as Perisic. I’m sure he would improve the team but I believe there are better quality footballers available if United are willing to pay the price. If United want to have a team that has a serious chance of winning Champions League, they had better ensure that half their squad are rated as world class players with the rest being on the starting line-ups of the top ten national teams in the world.

United won’t be spending a price that high for their 4th signing. They’ve been haggling with Inter over a difference of £9m for perisic. Obviously Woodward is trying to protect the Glazers finances which is a shame since United is one of the most valuable clubs in World futbol. I’d love Dembele but don’t see it happening. They should purchase Thomas Lemar or Draxler if they want to save money. Both are young and talented with room to improve.
